LITTER DAY

As people were flying over my head I couldn't help but think that I could be doing that. Ughhh I know it sounds really selfish and jealous but who passes an opportunity to fly to pick up rubbish

A lady started shouting, "whoo!" Like she was having so much fun and almost trying to rub it in my face that I wasn't up there.

"Hey, up there. Having fun, or does it maybe suck, probably?" I replied, hoping she'd say it was horrible.

"Well I wouldn't call it fun. I'd say it's like 50 simultaneous organisms, but better." She said with a smile spreading across her peach coloured face.

"Hows volunteer garbage pickup?" She questioned me.

"About the same." I said sarcastically hoping that she would fall.

"Great!" She replied and zoomed off to join the others in the sky.

I continued to pick up the rubbish around the village trying to stay as far away from Chidi as I could because it's his fault I'm not having fun. I spotted Jianyu and Tahani so I moped over to see if maybe they were having fun. As I started to walk over I overheard Tahani taking about herself so I turned swiftly into the opposite direction. I've heard enough of her stories for a life time.

Walking off i heard some one shouting my name, "y/n, y/n!" I Quickly looked to the left of me and sure enough it was Micheal. He looked like something was on his mind so I ran over.

"The neighbourhood is a disaster and now I'm just... I'm terrified that it's going to happen agian." He explained with terror shot in his eyes.

I looked at him with a sympathy and I don't feel sympathy a lot.

"I'm trying to put on a brave but I'm just... miserable." He went on to saying with a tear forming in one of his eyes. He then walked off not wanting me to get involved so I ran back over to Tahani and Jainyu because I knew they'd know what to do.

"Tahani we have to help Micheal he's not taking this disaster very well." I explained to them both.

Tahani looks straight at jainyu and said, "are you thinking what I'm thinking." He just looked at her with a straight face not giving a care in the world. "Okay 1... 2.... 3! We have to help Micheal." Tahani Shouted quite disappointed that he didn't say anything but laughed, "you sly devil, you'll going to keep me on my toes, aren't you?" Her smile then turned into a frown. She really wants him to speak.

I let them two plan what they were going to do to cheer up Micheal whilst I continued to clean up the rubbish. Still. I'm front of me there were to men, one quite chunky and one slim having so much fun. I was jealous- how can they be having fun clearing up rubbish?

"Hey, Eleanor. Isn't this great!" He yelled across to me with glee. "Uh, yeah." I relied not looking to happy.

I then continued to make a sarcastic comment, "when I thought of the afterlife, I totally pictured being an unpaid, non-flying janitor."

"Us too!" They both laughed.

"You guys are so fun. I keep thinking when are they stopping going to be fun?" I say back to them. "And the answer is never."

They both continued to laugh.

That got me thinking that's something Eleanor would say, am I turning more into Eleanor I thought these good moral lessons were going to help but, it seems I'm getting worse.

Suddenly, I spotted Chidi. So I took the liberty of saying, "Well I've had a great day picking up rubbish and being unselfish." This lead me to ask, "So you're going to continue to help me and Eleanor right, so that we won't get sent to the bad place?"

Chidi replied, "that is a really tough question, most philosophers would say that helping you guys is pointless, that you can't be good, especially when your motivation are so obviously corrupt."

Does that mean Chidi's not going to help us?
