I've never been a fan of riding a boat. It was just that in childhood I had some kind of phobia of swimming that's why aqua and Libby used to compete in swimming in our pool trying their best to complete their rounds first from each other but I was the one who would sit outside and hoot for them for encouragement.Although I got over this phobia as I grew up but still I haven't made any effort to start swimming or ride a boat.
But right now, surprisingly I was sitting in a boat with none other than cap and we both were rocking the paddles back and forth.
Weird, right?
As it was our last day here in this heaven like place, after sketching, cap wanted us to ride a boat that was resting at the edge of lake and try it.
When I tried to resist then he took matters in his own hands and of course as a compensation to making him do sketching, I had to fulfil his this one wish.
So we hurried to it before sun could go completely down. Now we could hear soft chattering of birds that were flying here and there on the branches of tress.
Some would settle down silently while others seemed like testing various branches as to he it felt to sit on them.An amused expression must have spread on my face because I found cap eyeing me curiously.
We were in same clothing and due to strong wind I could see his hair ruffling here and there, sticking out at odd angels and few strands were covering his eyes protectively.Wind was strong now and I couldn't help but think that it was the indication of rain again.
When cap turned have head ahead, all the lose strands jumped backward giving him proper sight to complete our journey."Its so quiet and peaceful, isn't it?" I heard him mumbling silently without glancing my way.
I took a deep breath, cherishing the purity of the cold wind that flew past my face, making contact with my body, leaving me shuddering violently on contact.
His turned to me once again,"are you cold?" He asked with concern showing in his mud like deep eyes that seemed to my absorb every single movement that I took in the radar of his scrutinizing gaze.
"No it's just the wind, I guess. It s all good." I honestly answered smiling. He looked upward and I followed his gaze noticing that a thick black blanket of cloud was chasing away the white colored blanket of clouds as if it was his territory and it was about to leash out any given second.
Capricorn POV:
"It's about to rain again." I heard a soft voice hit my ear drums and I exhaled relaxing my body on the soothing voice that could spiritually touch my soul without having any idea about what was it doing to me.
I glanced at gem for what seemed like a hundredth time today and noticed how her blue jacket was securely covering her making her look fragile and her warm black pajamas added to her cuteness.
No wonder her blonde strands were stuck to her face and my hands twitched to touch them and push them away from her face.
Damn!
It was a test of my self control but she had no idea about it.
It made me smile how just by looking at her could magically make me smile goofily.
"You never told me about your sister, cap?" She broke my trance and I took a moment to register her words in my head and then heaved a sigh.
" Yeah, there is not much to say," I glanced her way then concentrated again on rotating blades in the water"I got my little sis, cancer. We both live in our family house that we inherited by our grandma. She was always there for us in our childhood, looking after us, filling the gap of our parents." It was becoming hard for me to look in her direction because memories of my childhood enveloped all of my senses and I couldn't shake away the lonesome that me and cancer felt after our grandma passed away.
