"Honey, I'm heading home with XiaoXiao and Kata. See you later, Iruka." Mia smiled, lifting XiaoXiao into her arms. Mia headed in the direction towards their home.
"Seems like the ideal life..." Iruka smiled, walking back later, stopping periodically.
"Yes, I just wish I could do more for Aiko. Things were so much easier when she was my little girl." Kakashi sighed.
"That's only because she's a cookie cutter copy of you. She has your attitude, but most of all, your ambition. She feels if she doesn't succeed the first time, she won't succeed at all." Iruka replied. The people suddenly parted. A little toddler wandered aimlessly around the streets crying.
"XiaoXiao?!" Kakashi sprinted, scooping the little girl in his arms.
"Why is she all by herself?" Iruka asked, nervous.
"XiaoXiao, where's mommy?" Kakashi asked in a calm voice. XiaoXiao was crying, sobbing, and in complete distress.
"At home..." She murmured, almost unnoticeable. Kakashi's eyes widened. He noticed the feeling of her body. It was cold like ice.
"Iruka! Get XiaoXiao warm now! Something happened to Mia!" Kakashi sprinted away. Jounin were called as they ran towards the Hokage house. Ice and snow coated the yard. Kakashi slammed his body into the door. Katashi was huddled up against the door.
"I got him, find Mia." Sakura had followed, and helped Kata up.
"I...couldn't help mom..." Kata shivered.
Kakashi followed by Shikamaru, Naruto, Guy, and Iruka stepped in the household. They stepped slowly around the frozen living room. They all turned in unison, hearing sobs.
"Mia, baby?" He called out. The sound of something shattering startled Kakashi. Mia fumbled out into the living room. She clutched something to her chest as she was crying. She collapsed to the ground, her eyes still icy blue.
"She's gone, Kakashi!" Mia sobbed.
"Who?" He asked. He looked at the crumpled note in Mia's shaking hands. His eyes widened when he saw the signature. Aiko.
"Our baby girl! Kiki! Aiko! I've got to find her.... I got to..." Mia began to fumble around clumsily, things she touched froze over.
"Honey, if you don't calm down." Kakashi hung his head. She was too far distressed.
"It won't hurt her much, Kakashi. I promise it'll only hurt her a little." Sakura came inside. She took her hands and hovered them by Mia's head. Mia's eyes pulsated before shutting as she collapsed. Kakashi caught her.
"Send squads out. Aiko has run away into the Forest of Death." He murmured.
