Shay Mitchell, actress and former pll star has a huge hatred for the band 5sos. After a small meet at a café with the one and only, Luke Hemmings, things start to change and Shay finds herself falling for him.
It's been about a week since Luke left for Sydney. I have been spending time with my family for Christmas and will be staying for New Years Eve which is today and in exactly 3 hours. I finished helping my mum with cooking dinner and called everyone to eat.
We all had homemade fish and chips with salad. It was so nice to spend time with my family before going back to LA to start acting for my new movie role. I told my parents all about LA and Luke and just everything I've been up to in the past year. "Luke is just so good to me and he is sweet, extremely caring and I really needed that to come into my life" I stated filled with passion. "We're really happy for you, Shay" my mum replied while rubbing my hands and dad agreed.
After I finished my dinner there was still around 2 hours left till midnight so I decided to go next door to my childhood friend, Brianna's house since they were going to have a party soon. I greeted everyone when I went inside and joined Brianna and her friends outside.
As I was listening to their conversations I scrolled through Instagram and I saw a familiar face.

It was a photo of Luke with a girl I didn't know. Luke told me all about his family and friends from back home and showed me photos of them and this girl was someone I didn't see before. How could Luke be so careless and disloyal? I just decided to shrug it off and enjoy the rest of the night.
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Everyone counted down and started to cheer for the new year. There was a huge explosion of fireworks appearing and everyone started to dance around the place enjoying themselves.
That whole time I was just wondering about what to say to Luke.
One week later It was the week after New Years and I was back in LA starting on my shoots. I was supposed to meet up with Luke after so it was such a dreadful day. I have been off social media and haven't contacted Luke since I found the photo. I just called him this morning telling him that I was coming over later today. I didn't really tell anyone about the incident and the fact that I was breaking up with him, I needed to stay low and wanted to keep this to myself.
5 hours later I finished my shoot about half an hour ago and I was driving to Luke's place while memorising everything I was going to say to him. It needed to be really quick and straightforward to make it less hard.
I got to his place 15 minutes later and knocked on his door. I knocked a few more times under the door opened and I saw Luke's face. "Hey Babe, come in." Luke said in a polite manner.
"No I'm good, I just came to tell you something so hear me out. At New Years Eve I was with my family and I was just scrolling through Instagram for like 5 minutes and a photo broke my heart. It was you with another girl and I didn't know that you could go so low." I said quite harshly.
"Wait, hun, are you talking about Izzy?" Luke said in a heartbreaking tone. "It's not like that, she's my-----" I quickly cut him off and yelled "LUKE, I'M NOT STUPID SO DON'T TRY AND MAKE EXCUSES. I DIDN'T THINK YOU'D BE ONE OF THOSE GUYS BUT I WAS WRONG, ONCE AGAIN. I WAS ACTUALLY SO SCARED TO GET INTO ANOTHER RELATIONSHIP AFTER MY LAST BUT I TOOK A RISK. LUKE, I'M SORRY BUT I CAN'T BE WITH A PERSON LIKE YOU!" and with that I left him without looking back at Luke's broken face.
"SHAY, WAIT. LET ME EXPLAIN!" Luke yelled while running to catch up to me.
But before I knew it, it was the end of us and I didn't take another step backwards.
