So, it's around a week after the party and I was currently editing a video that Ian and I filmed together around two days ago. Editing took about an hour and I was finished by about 12am and heard a knock at the door.

"I'm coming!!!" I yelled when I heard the fourth knock and I quickly ran to open the door. It was Ian, "Hey, what's up?"

"Care to have some lunch?" Ian said as he handed me a bag from post mates as I gestured him to come inside with a chuckle. "So, what brings you here? I assume lunch wasn't the only reason you came here today?" I said as I quickly cleaned up the place. "I have an off day today and I decided that it would be fun to hang out with you. Are you sure you don't need any help cleaning up the place?"

"I'm 100% sure. Do you have any places in mind?" I asked as we both sat down to have the food he ordered. "I was thinking about going on a nice stroll around the park and maybe hang at the beach? If that's fine with you, that is." Ian rambled on and on until I interrupted him, "The park sounds nice, I'm not feeling the beach right now. So, maybe we can binge watch 'The Office' until 5pm and then we'll go for a walk." I recommended as I packed away the dishes, putting the leftovers in the fridge and rubbish in the bin.

"Sounds good to me" Ian said as he made himself comfortable on my couch while scrolling through NETFLIX to see what episode we were up to. I made some popcorn and other snacks so we could eat while being entertained. I closed the curtains to make the room dark and took the snacks to the TV room where Ian was already watching the show.

"You started it without me?" I said in a sad tone while sitting down next to him. "You were taking too long. Gimme some of that popcorn." Ian chuckled as he threw some popcorn at me, making me laugh.

At 5pm

We finally finished our daily dose of NETFLIX when Ian said that he wanted to go to the park. It took me like 10 minutes to get ready and then we were both off for our little walk around the park.

It was a sunny afternoon, kids were about, young couples were holding hands smiling at each other and then there was Ian and I, just two young friends out for a stroll at the park. We didn't talk much, we both just enjoyed each others company because we were such great friends. I don't ever recall us having a crush on each other, we somehow just clicked and became really close as friends. Everyone still wonders how the two of us never actually got together but we were so comfortable around each other, it was as if he was my brother.

I snapped out of my thoughts with Ian waving his hand around my face because I wasn't able to hear what he was saying. "I'm sorry what did you just say?" "I was just asking how you were doing, you know, after all that boy drama"

"I almost forgot about it until you mentioned it again but if you really want to know, I still miss him. His stupid smile whenever he looks at me, his laugh when I say a really bad joke, his angelic voice when he sings, his kind heart, I just miss every little bit about him. I still can't get over, everything brings back memories and then it all comes crashing down."

"Then, why did you do it?" Ian questioned as I finished my little speech. "Why did I do what?" I asked as we both sat in a brown, wooden bench. "Why did you break up with him?"

"You know, as I look back at it, I really don't know. I should've let him explain everything. I let some rumours get to me. I lost my best friend in the process." I shed a small tear as I went on with Luke's story. "He just meant so damn much to me and I just couldn't handle a small rumour. It wasn't even clear evidence. I actually feel so stupid."

"Has it ever occurred to you that Madelaine may be right? I mean she did overreact, but she only did because she knew how happy you were with him." Ian said as his wiped away my tears with his hands "Maybe, you need her right now. You should really fix things, that's step number one."

As he said that, my face started to glow because Ian just gave me the best idea in the world. "OMG! Ian you are actually my saviour. Come with me, we need to get to Mads!" I yelled as I pulled Ian off his seat and began running with him to my car.

"WHERE ARE WE GOING?" Ian yelled as I was driving. "Madelaine is back in town, we're going to her apartment." I said with a huge smile on my face, making sure I stayed to the speed limit. "Have you been keeping tabs on her or something? I know she is like your ex-best friend and all but don't you that is a little weird?" Ian said with a chuckle. "Shut up" I said as I pushed him lightly.

At around 7 o'clock we arrived outside Madelaine's apartment. I entered the gateway with Ian trailing behind. I took the long flight of stairs until we entered her floor and I knocked on her white, wooden doors until a certain red haired girl opened the door.

"Hey Madelaine"

Hey loves, I'm sorry you all had to wait so long for another chapter. This one was a long one so I hope you all appreciate it. I'm going to start putting other people's perspectives throughout this story as well. Stay happy and keep reading loves. 💕
