A certain indigo hair child sat near the floor balcony and stared out in the night sky, uncharacteristically. He blinked, an impassive expression on his face and his blue orbs causally flickered to the moving bugs flying across his vision. Fireflies to be exact but since the bug repellent was lit, the bugs didn't come near towards him. A loud sigh erupted out of him and he huddle himself in the cool summer breeze.

It was late at night when he decided to escape from the suffocating room of his fellow basketball manics. Aomine continued to stare at full intensity but not with eerie kind, it was a calm, soothing stare.

It was then that he felt someone sitting next to him. He looked up to notice (f/n)'s older brother, Taiga Kagami. "Hey, can't sleep?" He asked and stared of into the distance as well.

"Y-yeah." The bluette replied and quickly looked back.suddenly he felt the older Kagami's hand on his head, ruffling his short blue locks. "It's not good for you to be staying up so late especially in the cool night."

"What were you doing late at night?" Aomine asked, enjoying the ruffling of his hair even though he wouldn't admit it. The maroon head beside him, hummed in reply as to think of an answer, "I was doing homework."

"The real answer?" Aomine scoffed and the boy beside him growled, "finding out how to make those burgers from Maji's."

"What a fatty...." Aomine murmured awkwardly as Kagami lit his eyes with rage.

"I don't know if I should be offended or proud for the compliment!" He harshly whispered to the child with widen blue eyes. In response, Aomine snickered and continued to watch the glowing butts of the fireflies. "Hey." Kagami called out, not directly looking at the little boy.

"What?"

"How about we try and catch them?" Kagami suggested, pointing his fingers in the direction of the sky.

Aomine gave him a puzzled look, "Aren't we too old for that? I mean you're fourteen!"

"Haha, very funny." Kagami snarled, "I'm fifteen for your information and (f/n)'s turning fourteen soon. I still find this entertaining, imagine trying to catch the bag and with no doubt to hold you back."

Aomine must admit, Kagami's ways of expressing the feeling of carefreeness often came into thought whenever the subject related to bugs catching. "What's the catch?" He asked, curiosity yet cautiousness in his mixed expressions.

"Eh?" Kagami looked confused, his head tilted and eyes widen, "what do you mean?"

"Comeon, there obviously going to be a catch. Why else would you want to catch bugs when you're afraid of a tiny dog."

The maroon head laughed sarcastically, "Very funny, dweeb. You did not see the demon behind that dog's angelic face."

Aomine gave out a huff and a peaceful chorus of summer cicadas rattled in the distance. "I-I-I might take up the o-offer because I'm sure I'll beat you anyways!" Aomine blurted out, quickly which made the redhead blink.

"Did you seriously add a 'I'll beat you' at the end?"

"Yeah! Because the only one who can beat me is me....and probably Oppai-Onee-chan!"

"I'm still surprise she haven't cut off your limbs because you kept calling her that...And what's up with your motto?! It's ironic, what? When you get older your motto will be 'the only one who can love me is me!' or 'the only one I can have children with is me!'. You'll end up as some ore-sama self-cest parent." Kagami laughed, bellowing his words.

Aomine gritted his teeth, "It's not ironic, you dried up period head!" He then pointed his little tan finger to the taller boy, "I'll accept your stupid challenge, BAKagami!"
