Chapter 3

As I was gathering my things after class I heard someone clear their throat. I didn't think anything of it and continued on.

I picked up my folder and heard the sound again. This time I looked up to see who it was.

When I looked up I noticed there were two people left in the room.

Jacob.

What does he want now. I had a feeling this kid was going to be really annoying.

"yes?" I gave him a questioning look.

"I was ... Um ... I was wondering .." he looked at his feet uncomfortable.

"wondering what?" I encouraged. I really just wanted to get away from this he'll hole of a school.

"I was um wondering if um many you know"

"look. I need to get home so if you could say whatever you want to say that would be great." that might have sounded rude but I didn't care.

"I was wondering if you would like to go out with me?"

What? Didn't he already ask me? Didn't I already reject him?

"umm. Jacob?" I raised an eyebrow. "I already told you no. Sorry."

"umm. That's ok. Um I understand."

I just walked out the door and followed the majority of the kids to where I figured the buses would be. I didn't bother going to my locker, it probably would have made me late to the bus anyways.

With my delight, I followed the correct students and ended up in front of the buses. Now I just had to find bus 8.

I started walking left, figuring I would look left to right until I found it. That was smart because it was the second bus.

I walked unto the open doors and took my first steps in. Lord. This bus was packed. I would have to remember to get on early if I wanted a seat.

I looked around and saw a seat with two people rather than the usual three. I walked over and asked the two girls if I could sit with them.

They barely acknowledged me so I sat down anyways, forcing them to scoot over to make room.

What a day.

Luckily my bus stop was one of the first. I only knew it was my stop because it was in front of my house.

I stood up to get off and as I walked towards the doors I heard a mumble from the bus driver. O couldn't understand her so I just waved and walked off.

I walked in the front door and rolled my eyes.

She was asleep. Again.

I went to my room and threw my stuff on my bed.

My room was a wreck. I should probably clean it.

I dismissed the thought and walked back into the living room to get my laptop. I knew it was in there because She was always on it when I was gone.

Just as I thought it was on the floor by the couch where Teresa was sleeping.

Teresa was my stepmom. My lazy, evil, fat, and selfish stepmom. I hated her. I hated everything about her.

I know your not supposed to hate people but in my defense, she's not a person. Teresa is a bitch. Yeah a dog.

Not literally. She's really not a dog. My dad wouldn't be desperate enough to actually marry a dog guys. No. He just married someone who controls everything he does and takes over his head.

Actually a dog would have been better than Teresa.

I grabbed my laptop and went back to my room. I sat on my bed, having to push away everything that I had thrown on it earlier, and opened a new tab on google chrome.

Facebook.com

I had to remember to clear my history before anyone could look through it. I wasn't allowed to have a Facebook anymore.

I lived in Missouri before I went to springlake and I had a Facebook there. Oe day Teresa decided to get on there and saw where I had been talking to one of my best guy friends and accused me of "having sex with the neighboring boys". Therefore, no more Facebook.

"Stupid bitch" I said this under my breathe even though she was sleeping and my dad wasn't here.

My other siblings weren't too fond of her either so I wasn't quite worried about them ratting me out.

I scrolled down my news feed.

I don't care.

You need mental help.

Who gives a fuck?

Nobody wants to know about your stupid sandwich.

everyone hates you.

shut the- ohh!

Yasmin is getting married?! I jumped to my feet with joy.

My best friend from the last school in Missouri, Yasmin, was a junior when I moved away. By now she was on her last semester of her senior year and now she's engaged!

Yasmin had been dating her now fiancé since they were in sixth grade. Normally I wouldn't even consider dating in sixth grade really dating but after seven years together? I think it's safe to say that they are great for each other.

I hurried back to my laptop after my miniature happy dance for Yasmin and began typing away.

I had to message her and tell her how happy I was for her!

Right as I clicked send, someone barged through my door.

Teresa.

I looked up and slyly exited Facebook and opened up some math website. I had it bookmarked specifically for occasions like this.

She walked over towards me with her lips pressed tightly together and a frown in her eyes.

You could see the hatred between the two of us so clearly. We never flat out stated we hated each other, but it was more than known.

She grabbed my laptop of my arms and looked at what i was doing.

She rolled her eyes and tossed the electronic device back on my lap. And rolled her eyes at me.

"do you have a reason for barging in my room without knocking while I was trying to study?" I asked challengingly.

She have me "the look". "the look" was when she raised an eyebrow, lowered her face, widened her eyes, and flared her nostrils. She was so ugly.

"excuse me?"

"I was kin enough to not wake up while you were napping, why can't I have some privacy so I could Study?"

She rolled her eyes again and left, slamming the door shut behind her.

"that's what I though be-otch!" I whisper-screamed at her through the walls.

I spent the rest of my night talking to Yasmin about her new engagement. I didn't even bother to eat dinner and I would shower in the morning.
