No Child

Prompt: reader has to get fixed and is scared Loki will leave because she cannot bear him a child

You sat alone in your car after the doctors appointment. You cried softly tears falling down your face. So many emotions were bubbling around inside you, you wasn't sure where to start.

For your own health you has recently gotten 'fixed'. You no longer could have a child of your own. This devastated you in many ways, as you has always loved children and had wanted one of your own.

But what were you to tell Loki?

What was you to tell your dear husband?

What could you tell the love of your life, who has always wanted a child? When you both had planned their future together with children, precious children, with so many names, y'all never even decided yet on what the name would be.

You slowly cleaned her face. You just wouldn't tell him. Of course! That was it, if Loki didn't know then he would have no reason to reject you and you wouldn't have two heartbreaks to deal with.

So you walked into her and Loki's house calm and collected, putting all of your day behind you.

"Y/n! " Loki swept over kissing his wife in the head. "How was your appointment?"

" It was fine Loki, " You lied. "Nothing more than a check up."

" Wonderful! " He smiled again. "Ok so I have a plan for our living room I know you wanted to change some things..."

You spaced out as he continued on about the new additions. You could do this. You had to.

You smiled, Thor was joining y'all for dinner tonight. It has been over a week sense your appointment and Loki had figured out anything so you were good.

You say down the plates and went to finish with the mashed potatoes. (Thor's favourite) Thor didn't come over often do both you and Loki were excited.

Loki walking into the kitchen at that time.

"Hey hun. " He kissed you lightly. "The food smells delicious. "

You laughed swatting your husband's hand away from the pot. "No touching Loki! "

"Fine, fine!" He laughed with you. " I love you honey. "

You turned away, tears coming to your eyes. "I love you too."

But you won't love me anymore. Not if you knew.

The doorbell rang and Loki looked over towards the door excited.
"Thor's here! I'm gonna go get the door!" He hugged you before running over to the door.

You smiled at his antics before moving the potatoes to the table. You could hear Loki and Thor conversing in the hallway. You smiled at Thor as they moved into the dining room. Thor instantly moved over to where you were to give you a hug. You laughed into his big chest yet you felt him tense slightly before letting go.

"Brother!" Thor boomed. " mind getting the rest of the food from your kitchen? This woman works hard enough. "

Loki laughed slightly kissing you on the head. "You could just say you wanted to talk to Y/n, " he said jokingly before disappearing into the kitchen.

Thor immediately leaned down closer to you and gently said, "why haven't you told him?"

You tensed instantly and asked "what?"

" Why haven't you told him Y/n? " Thor asked again just as gently as he had the first time.

"How did you even know?" You asked scared. Oh no nows he's gonna tell Loki and Loki won't want anything to do with me of great what am I gonna do-

" Y/n! " Thor calmed you down before beginning. " Sif and me recently went through this. She didn't tell me and the only thing that made me angry was the fact that she went through weeks of pain alone. "

"But Thor if I tell him I can't have a kid he'll leave me!" Your eyes teared up just thinking of it. " and I can't lose Loki, I can't! "

"Y/n?"

You spun around to see Loki standing in the doorway. One look at his face and you knew he'd heard everything.

"Thor can I speak to y/n alone please?" Loki said quietly .

You barely noticed him leaving. All you could think was that you were going to lose loki.

"Y/n?" Loki can over to you. " I would never leave you just because we can't have a child. Never. I love you to much for that. "

Loki scooped you up in a hug making you sob into his shoulder. The last few weeks had been very painful. But I'd be alright now. Because Loki truly loved you. And you are starting to believe it.
