"Sebastian, if you don't turn that computer off now you'll be late for your first day." My aunt sighed.
I looked over to her, she stared back at me from the kitchen, piercing green eyes staring into my crimson ones. "Sorry Aunt Ann."
She turned around and continued doing whatever she was doing. "Your lunch is on the counter. Remember I have to work a night shift today so you and Ciel will be alone tonight; Oh! And Grell will be your ride home today."
I only nodded. Turning off my laptop, I stood up from the kitchen stool and grabbed both my lunch and my backpack. "Ciel!" I called my little brother. "Come on! We'll be late!"
Little steps where heard form upstairs, followed by a soft shuffling.
Dammit I don't have time for this. As much as I myself didn't want to go to school, I had to and so did he. It was his first time going to an actual school too, but it should be easier for him since he's only been homeschooled a year. I sighed and started walking upstairs to look for my brother.
I walked into his room, which was at the end of the hall, in front of mine.
At first glance, I thought he wasn't in his room, but upon closer inspection, I heard muffled sounds coming from his closet. "Ciel? Are you here?"
No reply. I walked over to the closet and slowly opened it up. Inside the closet, I found my little brother Ciel, crying his eyes out.
"Ciel?"
He looked up at me. His eyes where red and puffy from crying. "I-I don't wanna go to school today." His voice cracked.
I lowered myself so that I could talk to him. "Neither do I. But every kid's supposed to go to school."
He sniffled. "B-But what if the kids make fun o-of my eyepatch. O-Or what if I don't make any friends...What if no-one likes me?" He looked at me straight in the eye, I looked back at him, his left eye covered by a white medical eyepatch.
I sighed. "I don't see why no one would like you. You're a cute little boy who's very smart and very nice to everyone."
His sapphire blue eye widened. "R-really?"
I nodded. "Yeah, now come on, grab your things and let's go. Aunt Ann is waiting for us downstairs."
Ciel nodded and wiped his eye. Quickly, he hopped out of the closet and walked over to his bed where his backpack was.
I took his hand in mine and both of us walked downstairs and outside to Aunt Ann's car.
As the car pulled out of the drive way, I couldn't stop thinking about Ciel's words.
Surely, they were some dumb assortment of letters thrown together in a childish fit, but I couldn't stop thinking about them.
...what if no-one likes me...?

As we reached the parking lot, my nerves perked up. I didn't want to go to school, but I also wanted to get this all over with.
Aunt Ann parked the car. "Okay boys, we're here. Have a great first day!" She smiled back at us.
I got out of the car followed by Ciel, I said goodbye to Aunt Ann and took Ciel's hand. We both walked over to the elementary building.
St. Ambrose's Private School consisted of three main buildings. The elementary building, the middle school building and the high school building, not to mention the library, the gym, the campus, the football field and the lunchroom.
Children from first to fourth grade went to elementary. From fifth grade to eight grade, you where bounded to middle school and the high school building belonged from freshmen to seniors.
I-I did some research...
Anyway. Ciel and I walked the steps up to the building when Ciel suddenly stopped walking. "Seb...I-I hope you have a great day at school!" He smiled and hugged me. I smiled back.
"C'mon, let's get you to class." I said.
He nodded and walked ahead of me, I followed. Maybe Ciel was right, maybe I would have a great day school...
...But something told me I wouldn't.
As I left the elementary building, I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see my cousin.
Grell.
Her bright her hair stood out against our plain brown and blue uniforms. Anyone wouldn't think twice about thinking it was dyed. But I knew better.
"Hi Bassy!" She smiled, showing me her pointy teeth.
That was something I would always admire from her, neither her teeth nor her hair let her think less of herself.
I smiled back. "Hey Grell."
I started walking to the high school building, she followed. We were quiet for a while until we reached the main double doors of the high school.
"So?" She asked.
I raised my eyebrows. "So what?"
She rolled her eyes at me. "So? Aren't you exited that you finally got over your childhood fobia and can now attend a normal school?"
I sighed. "You and I both know that I'd prefer being homeschooled any day."
She pouted. "Oh Bassy! You're so boring! Staying locked up inside your house all day? How du-"
"Stop it Grell, let's just get over this, shall we?" I cut her off.
She sighed and fixed her checkered blue skirt. "Yes, we shall."
I nodded and together we entered the the large building that, hopefully, would bring me good times and warm memories.
Hopefully...
