dear friend,

today i talked to michael. and i was right about one thing; it was terrifying. he's a nice guy, but i was just so nervous that i could barely form words.

as usual, i decided to skip lunch and decided to go to the music room again. it had become routine for me now; it was just so relaxing. i could just bang my drums away, and usually nobody heard since everyone was either in lunch or in homeroom. i was usually all alone.

but this time i wasn't.

i walked into the music room, twirling my drumsticks in my hands, and making my way over to the drum set. i was about to sit down, but then i saw someone walk past me and grab one of the guitars.

it was michael.

and he wasn't kidding when he said he could play guitar.

he started playing a song, and i immediately recognized it since it was by one of my favorite bands. as he played the song, i jumped in and started drumming along to the tune. eventually we just ended up playing the entire song, with him doing vocals too.

"that was awesome man," he told me after he unplugged the guitar amp. he hadn't had the volume up to loud, just enough for us to hear.

"thanks." i'd managed to say.

the bell rung, signaling the end of lunch. i got up from the drum set, and picked up my stuff deciding to leave. i was too nervous to even mutter a simple goodbye to michael, so didn't say anything.

"see ya later blondie." were the last words i heard before scurrying to calculus.
