"Oh my god, seriously?? And what happened then?". Taehyung's voice through the phone filled my living apartment as I was laying down on the couch and eating chips while the tv was on.
"And then I just punched that guy because he was really annoying me! At the end we both got into detention for a week and that's how our friendship ended. You seriously don't remember that boy?". I exclaimed after muching down another chip.
An hour already passed since me and the guys divided and Taehyung suddendly called me ten minutes ago to talk and update each other. Out of the blue he brought up our childhood and how I got into a fight with a boy during middle school.
"Mmhh I probably do but right now I don't even remember his face- Ehy Jungkook! Put that thing down!". I giggled as I heard him shout something at the younger boy.
"I don't remember his name but his face was so irritating. I would punch him again if I see him.". I added and gulped down my food, switching my eyes from the screen and to Minghao's back.
He had been really quite since I got back, he just greeted me and then went back to looking outside. I feel a bit bad about our argument before, however I thought I didn't do anything wrong. I kept our promise that I had to help him, nothing else.
His head suddendly turned to look at the locked door and his body stiffened.
"Y/N, they are close.". Minghao whispered to me, not turning around. "They are getting closer.".
I furrowed my eyebrows. What the hell was he saying?
"Ehy are you still there? I was talking and you got suddendly quiet..". Taehyung said, his voice sounded a bit worried but it sounded so distant to my ears, my attention only towards what Minghao said.
"Y/N? Y/N, are you still there?". The voice on the other side said more loudly, bringing me out of my trance.
"Tae I'll text you later, I remembered I got something urgent to do right now.". I replied.
He was about to add something but I already ended the call, moving away the bag of chips from my stomach and sitting up, my hands on both sides on my body, holding the sofa.
"Minghao what are you saying? Who is coming here exactly?". I tilted my head and he turned to look at me, his expression was blank and confused.
"They ar-". He stopped when three knocks could be heard on the door. His eyes widened as he looked only in my eyes.
"Y/N.". He whispered. "Don't open the door.". The mood turned to serious and cold just in an istant, as his orbs pierced through mines and blocking me on my spot.
"W-Why? You are scaring me...". I moved slowly and my body was now standing up, and Minghao did the same, between me and the door.
Another two knocks.
"Don't. Open. The. Door.". He demanded.
"Who is there then? Can you tell me? I'm so confused right now.". I groaned lightly. "I'm going to open.". I stepped right through him and I heard the rustling of his shirt as he moved rapidly to hold me, however he couldn't. Of course.
I turned the keys and opened the door a bit. Two men were there. They looked familiar in those sofisticated black clothes and those sunglasses covering their eyes.
I held my breath. The men from before.
"Good evening miss. We have to look around your apartment for a second.". The taller one spoke up, bending a bit forward to look better inside of my house.
I felt incredibly uncomfortable and I held tighlty the door with my hands. "Who am I talking to?".
He smirked and told something to the other one in a language I didn't know, the partner soon writing something down on the agenda he was holding.
They suddendly moved me to the side with strenght and barged in, looking and analyzing every tiny object in the house.
"Ehy! What the hell is happening? Who are you two?". I raised my voice at them but they seemed not to care.
They moved and opened my boxes, looked through the living room and the kitchen before walking to the bedroom and the bathroom, as if they were at their own personal house and I wasn't even there. Some of my things were now scattered on the floor, my favourite magazines surrounding the sofa and my pens and pencils thrown on the bedroom's floor.
"Get out of my house! Now!". I ran after them trying to push them outside, but the guy that talked before just pushed me away, making me almost fall from such strenght.
I looked around for Minghao but he wasn't there anymore.
I was terrified.
The taller one told something else in that unknown language to the blond one as he put down, or well threw my bag. He then touched his ear where a little earphone was placed, the ones people use to answer calls.
"Yes sir, we have arrived. We have one problem: a girl is now living here- Yes. Yes, okay sir. Will do boss.". He ended speaking and looked at me.
I freezed on my spot as he then gripped my face hard with his hand. "Don't say anything about us to your friends or neighbours, or we could come back sooner than what was accorded with our boss.". He let go of me, my eyes just glaring at both of them.
"What?? I want answers! Who are you two? Why did you run through my things without my permission and barged in my house? And boss? What the hell is happening?". I shouted at them, but they fixed their glasses and jackets and, as it happened before, ignored me.
They just walked away, touching the vase with the lilies and making it fall down, the flowers ruined on the floor.
I couldn't hear the sound of glass shattering, my ears were conpletely soundproof, blocked from the sound of my heart thumping in my chest and my anxiousness from what just happened.
As I watched them hit the ground, I saw Minghao's peaceful face from before as he brushed their petals, soft as he words he said then.
Beautiful, yet so fragile. Amazing, right?
"I told you to not open the door.". His deep voice came from behind my back, piercing through my silence, but I didnt turn around to look at him.
"So what? I bet they would have just broke in and searched around like they did.". I closed my eyes to calm myself. "Care to explain? Who were they and do they want? Why didn't you want me to open?". I looked at him straight in the eyes, his trasparent figure trembling a bit.
It seemed like he was anxious too.
"I-I can't explain now. I don't want to talk about it.". He took a few steps and he was now right in front of me, our bodies a few centimeters away from each others. "I'm sorry this happened, I wish I could have helped...".
I let out the breath I uncouscionsly held until then. "Don't worry about that, at least they didn't harm me in any way..". I looked down. "Okay, just tell me when you want then.". I started to clean up the mess around the sofa to calm myself in some way.
"Y/N.". He called me, at which I hummed in response. "I'm sorry I'm a ghost and couldn't defend you.". My gaze switched again to his face, a pained expression could be seen.
I smiled to reassure him. "Come here and help me, Min.". I picked up the books on the floor.
I wanted him to forget about him being a ghost. For me he was still here in the real world, living, if I should say that, and I promised to help him in any way possible so I would have to do my best for my ghost friend.
Yeah, friend.
Even if we knew each others a few days ago I feel a connection growing, we are getting closer, and we must get to since we basically share the same apartment. Or well, his apartment.
I looked again at the lilies on the floor.
<< Beautiful yet so fragile.
Amazing, right? >>
