I woke up suddendly at the sound of banging on the entrance door.

'Crap, what time is it? It's so dark outside'. I thought and got up.

I checked my phone only to see that it was 8:34 pm and that I received a text from Jeonghan saying that they wouldn't be back until late because of dance practice.

"Miss Y/N, open the door right now.". An unfamiliar voice shouted from the other side of the door and snapped me out of my thoughts.

I tip-toed in front of the door and looked through the peephole, trying to be as silent as possible since I couldn't recognize the male voice.

Three men in suits were there with someone else, a younger man in the front wearing a burgundy suit and matching sunglasses that covered his eyes, his dark hair slicked back perfectly. He was the one that knocked harder on the door, clearly losing his patience.

"Open the door right now!".

I started panicking. I didn't want them in my apartment again and see them in general but the longer I waited the more things would get complicated.

I thought they would have been gone after what happened two months ago, that they would leave me alone for good.

At the end, I opened the door slowly because I didn't want to make him more mad or I didn't want them to break in my apartment.

I looked at them as I held tightly the door knob, preparing to close it as soon as they gave any sign of coming closer.

The man in burgundy fixed his suit and cleared his throat. "What do you want?". I said before he could say something, his mouth forming an evil grin that sent chills down my spine.

"We have to check something in your apartment, miss.". One of the men said, crossing his arms on his chest.

"Uhm, who are you? And what do you want from me?". I started to close again the door, a creepy feeling invading my body as they took a step forward.

The man in front of me sighed. "This is annoying.". He spat. "Get her and search around the apartment.".

Before I knew it, they flung the door open and one of them held my arms tightly behind my back, I was sure his grip would leave marks on my skin. The other two started roaming around, lifting objects, scattering everything around as the burgundy man stood next to me with his hands in the pocket of his expensive jacket.

"Ehy! Let me go!". I started to squirm trying to get away from the massive man but he didn't even budge a bit and continued to look straight as if nothing was happening. "What the hell do you want, get out!". I shouted but all I could see was that smirk of his plastered on his lips as he snickered.

He looked briefly at me and then returned to the two that were turning my apartment upside down. "I have some...". He walked beside the lilies in the glass vase and brushed their white petals. "Unfinished business here.". His head scanning around the messy living room as if he was searching for something vital and important.

"Sir, nothing in the bathroom and in the bedroom. The kitchen doesn't have anything either.". The destroyers came back and reported.

My mind was a mess, I couldn't process what was happening before my eyes. I hoped to live a peaceful life but here I was, in the middle of an unknown business and expensive-looking people.

"Mind explaining?". I glared at him when he nodded in dissatisfaction.

"Damn it, where could he have hidden it...". He massaged his temples and completely ignored my question. I couldn't recognize him since his big glasses were covering most of his face.

He looked briefly at the man behind me before nodding and I was released immediately, at which I moved away, rubbing my arms.

The three tall bodyguards rushed out as that rude man said something in an another language, leaving their boss, I supposed, alone with me.

'Just great, amazing'. I rolled my eyes thinking that and tapped my right foot on the floor.

He looked around again, scanning every inch of my living room that now looked like a storm came through, my precious belongings scattered around like the leaves that fell from a tree.

His presence made me angrier every second that passed in complete silence, I didn't know a thing about him and yet he was making me irritated just looking at him, his attitude like nothing happened and I wasn't even there.

I wanted to punch him in the face but that would have just wasted my time and ruined my hand. I didn't want to get completely involved in whatever I was in already.

His shoes clicked on the parquet of the living room, the sound of a sigh leaving his lips filled the tense atmosphere as the back of his head faced me.

"Listen, what-". I tried to push him for an answer but he lifted his left hand, as if to shut me up, the right one resting in the pocket of his jacket.

"I don't like to harm pretty people like you.". I could feel his eyes under the sunglasses piercing my skin as he turned to look at me, all my frustration piling up.

"I'll give you two options: you leave the apartment and we will all forget about what just happened so that we can continue our research here...". I lifted his index finger in the air. ".... or you spill where he has hidden the object.". And he lifted another finger pointing up before putting the hand in the other free pocket, his lips now curled up in a provocative smile.

"Uh?". My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Who the hell are you referring to? And what is that object you're talking about?".

But he didn't reply back, he just twirled around and walked out of the door leaving me speechless. What the hell?

I followed him, my feet stomping on the floor until I was in the middle of the short hallway; his figure was already going down the stairs.

"Ehy!". I shouted at which he glanced up to me and nodded his head with a grin dancing on his lips.

I ran after him but when I got outside, he was getting on a black car, the door being opened by one of the men before.

My heart was thumping loudly in my chest, my anger fueling it as his actions made me furious.

I couldn't understand what he wanted and why they destroyed my apartment, they may had been sent by someone, but who?

The tinted car window rolled down and his face, still covered by those huge sunglasses, popped out. "Think about it, miss Y/N." The sound of his finger tapping the window stinged my ears. "Two options.".

With that, they speeded through the night, leaving me yet again in distress and an uncomfortable feeling entering my body.

'I won't let this pass easily. I'll get to the bottom of this.'.
