The way the air changed around me, left me dragging in a deep breath. I hadn't even acknowledged him, yet it seemed hard to breath all of a sudden. I didn't even know this dude, something is wrong with me. Seriously.
Electricity lingered in the air, dancing swiftly over our exposed flesh. The way he sat there, clearly bothered as well, glancing up at me with curiosity etched into his stone expression. Everything around us slowing down in a moment that felt like a life time, leaving the other just as curious as the other.
Something behind those sky blue eyes drew me in, the way he wasn't ashamed to get caught staring had my mind reeling with irrational thoughts. His whole demeanor screamed danger, but the way those gorgeous eyes stare back at me said there was more to him than meets the eye. A puzzle that needed fixing.
God! Just speak to me please!
He never did though, just sat back and watched me from a distance. Eyeing my every move, the kind that you feel burning into your soul. That spark against your skin that leaves butterflies in the pit of your stomach, the kind that makes your anxiety rise from the darkness and wrap around you like a vice.
And I chose to let him walk out of those doors that night, because of stupid pride. Everything that unfolded after that was destiny. He was made for me, built from a deadly mixture and poured into my life, but he was made just for me.
My other half, my missing piece, my soul mate. My Gangster.
