It's been two months since Scarlet last saw her parents.Scarlet wasn't worried though.She new that her parents are probably out making meth and and growing weed.Her parents had quite a business.Although Scarlets parents do drugs,and her other family all overdosed,Scarlet knew that she did not want to follow in the "Family Business" like her parents want her too.She dreams of becoming a lawyer or a surgeon,like on tv.But in her town the only jobs you can have are drug dealing or lying about not drug dealing.That meant that she would have to move.Move far away.
Scarlet turned on her phone and had 4 notifications.2 from Abby,1 about the weather,and a news report.She clicked on the news report.She read the headline,"Male and female found dead after overdose".She red more,"Brown hair","Blue eyes","4 feet tall",could these be her parents?She wondered that all night.It makes since.The news article said that they have been dead for about a month.
"On no",Scarlet thought, "what if.........I have to pack."
