Jason.

As expected, Jennifer was at her locker the next evening. I took a deep breath and walked towards her with unwavering confidence.

"Hey Jennifer," I said.

"Hi..." Her voice was low, and she took comfort in staring down at her shoes. I looked down too. My eyes slowly wandered up her smooth, long legs...then caught her dress. The dress was simple but it fit her perfectly. My eyes kept going until they stopped at her chest. I tried not to think about what lay beneath the soft fabric that delicately clung on to her. I let my eyes travel up to her face. I noticed the sadness in her eyes. Her big, pretty chocolate brown eyes. I saw the sulk in her lips. Her full, gorgeous lips...

I don't know why people overlooked her. She's delectable.

Oh man. What the fuck am I thinking?

She felt me looking at her and shot her head up...and we were staring right at each other.

Jennifer.

His blue eyes paralyzed me.

I felt tension, and I had to look away from him, but it was hard.

The ring of his cell phone cut through the silence like a sharp blade. However, he didn't hesitate to cut the call and switch his phone off.

Jason.

"How are you, Jenny?" I asked, putting my phone back into my pocket.

"Fine," she answered, biting her lip.
"No I mean, how are you really?" My gaze was penetrating.
"I'm fine," she repeated.
"You're lying," I stated. I couldn't believe she thought I was that gullible.
"I am not lying!" she protested, indignantly.
My eyes didn't leave hers for a second as I called her bluff. "You're lying through your teeth. And I'm not buying any of the bullshit you're feeding me right now."

Jennifer.

My jaw dropped in disbelief and I felt the anger rise within me. He ignores me for a whole week and all of a sudden he starts to care again? His mixed signals were driving me crazy.

"I don't know what I was thinking when Amelia told me to meet you here. You're completely insane!" I yelled, turning to walk away from him – but he held my arm.

"What do you want Jason?" I asked, my voice barely over a whisper. I was just...tired of arguing.

"You," he breathed, looking straight into my eyes. "You're all I want."

Jennifer.

I didn't know what to think at that moment. His words made no sense to me.

"You're delusional," I stated.

He shook his head. "No, I meant every word. You'll realize it sooner or later. I know you Jennifer..."

I couldn't take it anymore. I was feeling so many mixed emotions right then. "You really think you KNOW me? You don't know a thing Jason! And...and don't assume you do, because you DON'T!"

I tried to blink back the furious tears that clouded my vision.

"Is it that other guy? Did he treat you badly? Did he give you those scars on your arm? Because I swear if he did, I'll kick his butt."

"No Jason. It...it's nothing like that," I said, frustrated with the tears that were now falling freely..

"Then what is it? Damn it Jennifer, tell me!" He yelled in desperation.
