Chapter 8- The Sick Bully

When I arrive at Matt's house, I'm met with his mother. Matt's mother is very sweet and caring. "Hi, Mrs. Busek." I greet Matt's mother. "Oh, hi Beatrice. What can I help you with?" Mrs. Busek asks. "Oh, I'm just here to see Matt since he is sick." I reply to her question. "That's so sweet of you. He's in the living room. Here, I'll guide you to the living room." Mrs. Busek says as she takes my hand and guides me to the living room.

When we arrive in the living room, I see Matt watching TV and laying down on the couch. "Matt, Beatrice is here to see you. Be nice and don't bully her." Mrs. Busek tells her son. "Ok mom, I will." Matt says to his mother continuing to watch TV. "Well, I have to go to work. If you ever need me, my phone number is on the fridge. Bye" Mrs. Busek tells me and then walks out of the house. "Do you need anything Matt?" I ask the both physically and mentally sick boy, on the couch. "No, I'm good." Matt replies to my question without looking at me. I walk over to the other couch and sit on the couch. Matt then looks at me and asks, "Why are you here instead of school?" I look at him and reply to his question by saying, "The office said I could go home because when they found out my parents died, they said that I could take time to myself and away from other people." Matt looks back at the TV and doesn't reply. "I also felt bad for you being sick so I came over to your house so I can help you feel better." I say to Matt.

Matt looks at me again and replies to my statement by saying, "After all that I've done to you, why would you help me?" I reply to his question by saying, "Even after the stuff you did to me, I still manage to forgive you because you're still my friend."Matt looks at me shocked after I said that because his eyes widened and he's turning red. "Are you ok Matt? You're turning red." I ask. "I-I'm f-fine." Matt stutters and quickly looks at the TV again. "Ok then." I think to myself as I drift off to sleep.
