Chapter 7- The Masked Hider

I wake up to hear my alarm go off. "I thought I destroyed the stupid alarm. Oh well, I can always go and break it again." And that's what I did. I went upstairs to my room, grabbed the baseball bat and smashed my alarm clock again. It stopped making sounds. I went to my closet and got ready for school. When I got done, I walked out of the door and locked the door. After locking the door, I start walking to school. I feel like someone is watching me, but I just ignore it. Once I get to the school, I don't see Matt anywhere. I'm not falling for this trick again. I'll just walk to the classroom before he gets there. I start walking to my first period. When I get there, I see someone.

At first, I thought it was Matt, but it's Danny. Danny never bullies me, he's actually nice and makes me laugh at his jokes. Matt and the other guys don't know about Danny helping me with singing. When Danny saw me, he smiled and walked towards me. "Hey, Beatrice. I have something to tell you." Danny says. "What?" I ask Danny. "Matt won't be here today because he's sick so you can have a break. Also be sure to get out of the school grounds by 3:45 because the guys want to beat you up." The first period bell rings meaning it's time to go to class. Danny looks at me again and repeats, "So remember, be gone by 3:45. Well, I got to go, see ya." Danny says and walks out of the classroom. I decided that instead of going to my classes, I'll visit Matt. I don't know why but apart of me feels bad for him being sick. I'll just tell the office that I'm sick and in my school, we barely have homework or quizzes. I tell the office that I'm going home because I'm "sick" and they believe that. I walk out of school and start walking to Matt's house. As I'm walking to Matt's house, I see something in the corner of my eye. I turn my head to see a gas mask from yesterday. I just smile and wave at him and continue my journey to Matt's house.
