5 Years Later

It has been 5 years later since the incident. Jungkook had moved to America for a year to practice to become a dancer. But Jungkook moved on.

He had been heartbroken but at one point he realized, Jimin is never coming back. After that Jungkook had wanted to be a dancer and had gotten good at it. He even tried out for a boy band.

He tried his best. He really wanted to get in. There were a lot of people auditioning and Jungkook wasn't sure that he would get in.

Currently, he was waiting for the results.

"Mr. Jeon?" A man spoke.

"Y-Yes?" Jungkook answered nervously.

"You've got the position. Great job Jeon Jungkook. So your going to move into a dorm with the rest of your band mates. Hopefully you guys become successful. Great job."

Jungkook was speechless. "T-Thank you!" He was smiling brightly.

Meanwhile with Jimin. He was still heartbroken. He showed his family and friends he was okay, but he wasn't. He was slowly breaking inside.

"Jimin please. You have a gift. You have to use it." His mom pleaded.

"Why should I?" Jimin answered quietly.

His mom sighed and sat besides him. "Just because he broke your heart doesn't mean he has to break your dreams. Look, I know your hurting but at some point you have to move on. If you don't, what else are you going to do in life? You can't let him shatter your dreams. You have to show him that you're strong and you won't let him hurt you. Please follow your dream. He can't break it anymore." Mrs. Park said in a soft voice.

Jimin said nothing as he thought about what she said. She sighed and got up. Ready to leave. But before she did, she said a final thing.

"I can't help you if you can't help yourself"

And with that, she left the room. Jimin really wanted to move on. But what was holding him back? Jungkook? No it wasn't him. Maybe the one that was holding him back was himself.

Jimin took a deep breath. "He's gone. He did this to himself. But why am I suffering and not him? That was 5 years ago." Jimin thought to himself out loud.

But he couldn't move on. He had tried but it was only Jungkook who he wanted to be with but he couldn't. Jungkook was like a drug, you want to have it but you know it's bad for you.

Jimin got up and changed. He was going to try, for his family, his mom, and himself.

Jimin walked out of his room and walked downstairs. He smiled brightly at his mom as he greeted her.

His mom smiled as soon as she saw him. "Jimin. I'm glad that you finally came through" She said as she gave her son a hug.

Jimin hugged her back. "Okay well I'm going to try out for the new company. I think it was called bighit entertainment. I don't want to be late so bye mom" Jimin said as he kissed her cheek.

"Okay I love you. Take care okay? Don't over work yourself" Mrs. Park said softly.

Jimin showed his eye-smile "Of course mom, I love you too"

And with that Jimin left. He stared at the city as he drove by. People were walking with friends being happy. The trees were green and shops were open. The city lights were colorful.
It was beautiful.

Jimin stepped out of the vehicle. He immediately felt the fresh breeze. He took a deep breath. Had it really been that long since he had went outside?

Jimin stepped inside the building and after waiting a long time, he finally got called.

"So what are your talents Mr. Park?" A man asked.

"Please call me Jimin" Jimin said politely. "I can sing and dance. I have been in ballet class for years and have taken vocal lessons as well" Jimin said smiling.

"Alright. Can you show us a sample?" The man asked raising his eyebrow.

"I made this song myself. So I'll sing it. It's called promise."

Jimin sang with all his heart. The judges were impressed. At the end they all clapped.

"Great Job Jimin. You've got the position." The man said.

Jimin couldn't believe it. He can finally do something he loves and not let anyone get in the way.

"T-Thank you" Jimin said, a tear falling from his right cheek.

He gave the man a hug. He can finally move on. The man gave a soft smile from his cuteness.

"Your welcome, Jimin"
