Kade P.O.V.

After a couple of good years post-graduation of working here, there and everywhere- it was about time I landed something permanent. Stability felt good. I had experienced everything I had wanted to, and seen the world. There simply wasn't a better option than living in New York with Bel. The big city provided all the opportunity I needed, and even better than that, was it was not too far from Rhode Island, and of course, the love of my life's here.

The PR position was going well, I was even quite good friends with the CFO there- Will, who coincidentally also owned DelCorp with his family. It certainly made the transition to working at the corporation much easier.

As for my personal life, that was going even better. It certainly took me a while, but I finally realised what I wanted. It just goes to show that it takes the right kind of woman to hit you over the head and make you want it. A home.

There were never enough words to describe the kind of woman Isobel Marie Hernandez was. She was bold, confident, vivacious, enigmatic with a heart that loved and gave love. She was unapologetically herself, always. That was what I loved most. I will never grow old of having this woman in my life. She'd captured my heart, and I would never get it back. Just the way it should be.

I untucked my shirt, rolling up my sleeves as I stepped inside the apartment Bels and I were living in for the last couple of months. We weren't the perfect domestic couple, but we made things work- we'd take turns doing chores, making dinner, doing laundry, we split bills. She'd have nothing less, it was important for her to keep some of her independence. Though she loved it when I took care of her, took her on dates and spoiled her with gifts, her strong-willed streak remained.

The sound of the door opening prompted me to turn towards it, as I saw her beautiful figure waltz through. She huffed, collapsing on our couch in a pile of groans.

"Well hello to you too," I quirked a brow as I made my way from the kitchen over to her.

"Hi," she mumbled.

I picked her up, sat myself down before depositing her back in my lap.

"Are you mad at something Bels?" I jutted my bottom lip out in a frown. I smoothed my hand down her back as she curled up to me. They then landed on the apple of her curvaceous bum, as I cupped the globe in my palm. She quirked up, shooting me a peculiar glance.

"You know what they say, if she's moody grab the booty." I winked. That earned a smile to spread across her face before the sound of her laugh filled my ears.

"I'm okay. Sorry for being grumpy. Just a bad day at work." She murmured apologetically, planting a kiss below my ear. She rested her head there as she cuddled into me. I smiled, continuing to rub her back soothingly. No words needed to be said, she just needed a comforting touch.

After a moment of relaxing and holding each other. Bel sat up with an excited smile on her face. "So, what should we make for dinner tonight?"

I grinned, tucking her hair behind her ear, "Anything you want baby. Fettuccine carbonara?"

Her eyes lit up as she pressed her lips to mine. "There's a reason I like you Whitley." She smirked, patting me on the chest.

"Hey," I narrowed my eyes teasingly. "Am I getting downgraded? Don't you love me?"

"Yeah well I ran into someone the other day...he looked a lot like you. I think I've found a replacement." She said with a noncommittal shrug, tapping a finger on her chin.
