Chapter 12

Chloe's PoV

When I saw the shadow I was scared like everyone else. I decided to hide behind Liam because he is strong and will keep me safe. I was not making any noise because that is what Emma said. I felt a hand cover my mouth and I thought it was Kassidy or someone other than who it really was. I was getting dragged in the opposite direction of the shadow and no one even noticed I was getting dragged away. I tried to stay calm and was taken down a familiar route. Whoever was dragging me was dragging me to the school. I tried to keep my cool but then when he showed his face I just lost it, I screamed at the top of my lungs he was hideous.

He was a dead looking guy pale, pale skin. Hw had bruises all around him. His clothes were ripped up and just ew. He started to talk to me. "I will not hurt you if you stay here if you try to escape you will get hurt if you call anyone to save you they will all die." This just got intense fast. "Oh yea I also have one thing to show you, I have set up cameras around the whole town so you can see your friends try to find you, but I am letting you know it is not as easy as it might seem".

I was getting nervous, what does he mean by what he said, will they get hurt, why am I here? So I decided to ask. Um, I have a question, why exactly am I here? "I have been watching the "real world" all my life and I have to see what a great world I am not living in. I had a plan, and it is working just how I wanted it to, the boy who gave your friend the gem is my servant, I did all of this so you are now mine and nothing I say nothing is getting in the way of that."

So basically I am the reason this is happening? "Yes, and you will watch all of your friends die".
