"Congratulations, you're 10 weeks" the doctor said and my heart dropped
"You're joking right?" I asked already knowing the answer
"No Destiny, you're having a baby" she responded
And I slumped in the bed.
"If you're considering not keeping it, we always have other alternatives" she quickly spoke up
"Like what? Abortion?" I asked with an attitude
"Yes or even adoption Destiny" she added
"Dess it's all up to you" Rose said
It was just Rose and I at the doctors office, I didn't know how to tell Glizzy or even my mom
"Did you speak with the child's father?" The doctor asked
"No he doesn't know" I said and bowed my head
"You should tell him so you both can make a decision" she said smiling
"Yes, I understand and I'll try to talk to him" I responded
"Well I'll just give you two some privacy" she said and left the room
I nodded my head and turned my attention to Rose who was playing with her fingers.
"Rose should I tell him?" I asked her
"You think he's ready?" She asked back
"Ion know, ion think he'll ever be ready for this typa news" I responded shaking my head
"Well it's gotta be sooner than later you know" she said shrugging her shoulders
"Am I ready for a baby? Hell nah but I can't be selfish. This is a life inside of me" I said holding my head
"That's why you gotta talk to him, I support you whether you keep it or not" Rose said smiling at me
"I understand and I'll talk to him" I said as a tear streamed down my face
"Don't cry, I'll be here every step of the way" Rose said hugging me
