(Scarlett's P.O.V)
"You guys should come to my house after practice!" Jess suggests.
"I'm not on the cheerleading team Jess" Hannah chuckles.
"Well you can wait by the bleachers, or you could watch practice and then we go to Jess'" I pitch in.
"Perfect" Jess smiles.

As our conversation ends, I catch sight of my annoying (older than me by about 2 minutes) twin brother James walking towards me. I also notice the guys beside him, Zach and Scott. Great.

"Can I borrow the car after school?" James asks.
"No."
"What? Why not?"
"Because it's my turn to have the car you idiot. Plus, I need it to drive Hannah to Jess' place" I retort.
"Can't you all go in Jess' car?" he asks.
"I walked to school today" Jess pitches in.
"Ok, so you can all walk to Jess', problem solved! Now where are the keys?"
"I'm not giving you the keys James. It's my turn to have the car."
"Come on I need it" he whines like a child.
"Give me one good reason why I should give you the keys."
"I'm older" he smirks.
"By 2 minutes!" I yell back.
"Ok what have I got to do to make you let me have the car?" he sighs.

I think for a moment as I come up with the deal I'm about to make.

"Fine. You can have the car for the rest of the week, IF you buy me lunch for the rest of the week and next week, plus food or snacks I want AFTER school." I smile.
"Done." he agrees.

With that confirmation, I fish in my pocket for the keys and place them in his open palm. Without another word he walks off with Zach trailing after. Unfortunately, Scott didn't follow them. Instead he decided that he was going to hang around for a little longer. After about 5 minutes, I decide to acknowledge him.

"What do you want from me Scott?" I ask sharply, making it very clear I'm not interested in anything he's about to say.
"I want a date." he replies bluntly.
"Are you kidding me?"
"Nope. Come on Dawson. I know you're with Atkins but I mean..." he points to himself, "come on."
"Scott are sure you aren't high right now? Because you've got to be out of your mind to think that I wold EVER cheat on Jeff... Let alone with you!" I point out.
"Yes Scar!" I hear Hannah cheer.
"Come on Scar... Just one date. What harm could it do?" Scott asks again.
"Well-"
"It won't do much damage to us but it'll cause a lot of damage for you" I hear a familiar voice butt in. Jeff.
"Come on Atkins, I'm only teasing" Scott chuckles.
"Really?" I ask sarcastically.
"Doesn't matter Scott. You gotta leave my girl alone."

I can't help but blush when Jeff callsme his girl. Noticing the blood rushing to my cheeks, Hannah and Jess both let out an audible, "Awww", as Jeff smirks at me. God these lot will be the death off me.

"What if I don't?"
"You don't wanna know what'll happen. So just back off." Jeff says, gritting his teeth.
Scott turns to me and states, "Until next time Dawson", as he walks in the direction my brother exited.
"There won't be a next time!" I yell after him.

I turn back to Hannah and Jess, smiling at Jeff as he wraps an arm around my waist. There is a moment of silence as we all process what just happened.

"Well... we're gonna give you two a chance to talk. So, I guess I'll see you at practice?" Jess says as she drags a reluctant Hannah with her.

"So..."
"So, I've just learnt that I need to protect you 24 hours a day" Jeff jokes.
"As much as I love you please don't"
"Why not?"
"Because then I have to deal with jealous Jeff 24 hours a day" I point out.
"Ok," he says as he brushes one of the strand of my pitch black hair out of my face, "just do your best to deflect the assholes then."
"Always"

Not another word is spoken as Jeff places his hand under my chin and pulls my lips towards his. We get caught in such a passionate kiss that we don't even realise the bell ringing signalling that we needed to get to class. It isn't until the hall monitor finds us that we realise. Reluctantly, I place a quick peck to Jeff's lips and run to my next class.
