I slowly opened my eyes as the dawns light strained my eyelids. A peaceful breeze blew through what was left of my birthmane, taking chunks out and leaving me furless. I examined my scales for a second, white iridescent scales that seemed to cause little rainbows as the light hit them.

For a split moment i forgot who i was, what world i was stuck in, what i was, and what i was doing and simply took a moment to just... Enjoy myself.

But then reality hit hard as a scream echoed out.

A young elf-like child stood outside my cave. Staring into my eyes as it screamed. All this time and my first encounter with another sentient being and it screams?

All this way to be feared?

I felt a warm, sputtering, rage overpower me as i bared my teeth at the child.

Why was i getting mad?

It was almost as if all the rage suddenly exited my being, leaving me with nothing but sadness.

I covered my teeth slowly, seetling back onto the cold stone ground of the cave. I let out a whisper of a mewl and proceeded to launch myself into the sky, zooming over the child, flying straight for the little town that rested on the horizon.

Another echoing scream vibrated within me as i flew. Anger seemed to erupt out of me once again as the villiage seemed to go onto defense mode, arrows flying out at me, some just barely missing, some nicking my wings.

I hissed as an arrow launched into a small crevice under my scale near my leg, painfully ripping it out in one graceful motion.

I spiraled down, spitting fire onto the Bowmen. I quickly sped away. Taking me leave as they obviously did not like dragons.

Suddenly, another roar matched mine.

A deeper roar, one that had age to it. I roared back, challenging the other. A huge, giant, blue dragon flew rapidly towards me. Tackling me mid air, roaring. We both crashed onto the ground, fighting. Claws flew and fire spewed as we fought in the mud that laid below.

Suddenly, i remembered something almost like a distant dream, Light.

Almost like a scene in a movie, we stopped fighting, staring at ome another in quiet awe. I felt my crest rising, and my scales shuddering in embarrassment. He had become quite handsome.  His scales had darkened to a deep sea blue mixed with blacks and streaks of white.

I watched as he grumbled and leaped at me, tossing all his weight onto my body, trapping me. At first i thought it was an attack, wiggling and screeching but that was until i felt something slick and warm wrap around my own feathered ear. A tongue.

"Awh ew!" I screeched in repulsion. How nasty.

A low rumble sounded from the dragon atop of me, " I've missed you."

I pushed him off, my crest risen to full embarrassed stance.

Jerk.
