Emmett's Major

Four weeks later

In the past four weeks Penelope's life has gone frome not so mundane to beyond her wildest expectations.

Her relationship with Emmett is on the highway to paradise. Especially after the little talk they had.

Flashback~

Turning to face her Emmett braces himself to spill his guts in hopes that sh wants him. Exhaling an unneeded breath, he is shocked to she a well manicured but work worn hand being placed on his lips.

"My shield is stll down sugar, and I meant it when I said that I knew everything, I know all about our mate ship. But here's the thing I'm a retired war vet that has seen and done more damaging shit than you can comprehend, I'm at an age where I know exactly what I want.

From the moment I read Ryiden's thoughts about you and me I knew I wanted to give us a try, with that being said I'm not a teenager I don't like going on dates, and playing games. If you want to get to know me ask me anything and I will answer honestly."

Releasing her mates lips from her hold Penny waits for his response. Although it was more than she expected. Emmett feeling more than elated that his mate accepted him, decided no words could explain.

A pleasant gasp was all Penney could release before Emmett had he bent over the counter, hand grabbing her face, and kissing her lips like a man starved.

Sliding his right hand from her cheek to tightly leather covered ass, he squeezed like his life depended on it. Eliciting deep moan from both himself and his little mate.

Penelope finds her hands sliding up his chest to lay around his neck. Arching her back to get one last kiss, she pulls back with a shit-eating grin.

"It's good to know we're on the same page. But maybe we should consider doing this when we're alone. Edward and Ryiden are fake gagging in their minds, its annoying". Penney tells him while replacing her rumpled shirt.

Flashback End~

After Emmett practically pounced on Penelope to kiss her and damn near scared his family with the sounds they made. They were acting as if they had known each other for centuries. They where inseparable, if Emmett wasn't at home he was at Penelope's. Or at her office, or the hospital.

Seeing as he had missed so many days of school. Carlisle signed him up for being home schooled, even though he didn't need it, Emmett had free reign to be with his mate all the time now. They cooked together, danced, cuddled, hell he even bought female products.

Although things where relatively good between the couple. Things between Penelope and Bella began to strain. Bella did start to resent Penelope though, simply because she bonded with Rosalie and Jasper and Ryiden could never be seen far from her side. With the latter having not even spoken to Bella at all.

But Penelope never being one to just give up. Decided on mandatory BFFSODNB'S. To say 
Bella, if possible, got even closer to Penelope. Both of them including Alice,Rosalie and Angela had sleepovers all the time.

True to her word, the next day Penelope had commissioned Esmè to build/remodel her home. Thus meaning she stayed at the Cullens until her home was, as Ryiden and Emmett said, pimpd out.

After her and Emmett got acquainted, Penelope decided to take a walk with Carlisle to head up the case files. The girl in the files had a broad case of hay fever. But was showing symptoms of Arsenic poisoning.

They spent hours locked away in his office searching for an explanation let alone a cure. In the next two weeks they narrowed it down to three theories. Now they just had to test them.

Charlie was beyond pleased that his little sister was settled with a man. In his eyes she deserved to be happy. Although he was a little creeped out about the age difference Emmett was eighteen so he tried not to think too much about it.
