"Is this really really necessary" Avery was obviously sick of this; walking about, looking for clothes to buy.
"Of course. You're not going with me to L.A looking like that all the time" Cole gave a disgusted look.
"I'm sooo sorry I don't dress set for d world that doesn't even know I exit" Avery sarcastically bowed her head. "Oh wait, I'm not" She narrowed her eyes at Cole. "Look I'm okay with what I put on,.." she turned her gaze away."and u are too...I guess" "But that's all that matters isn't it" she followed up immediately.
"Look" Cole turned to hold Avery by the shoulders. "This Vacation is for you. And it's not just so you can finally say u gave into me once and had fun, if u even will." She looked Avery in the eyes "I have a feeling that this will be a vacation you 2ill be er forget." She let go of her "And trust me, you don't wanna remember it in those clothes" the disgusted look was back.
"Persuasive, much" Avert eyed her
"I know" Cole laughed "that's why I'm soo good at my marketing job" "Now let's get shopping"

After trying on varieties of clothes and shoes, they finally left the mall.

At Oden Corps
"Sir. You have a meeting with Mr. Foreno at 2 for a contract signing" Lease reminded his boss.
"Mr. Foreno of Foreno mines?"
"Yes Sir"
"OK. I still have about thirty minutes."
"Actually" you'll have less now" a voice came from the door making Lucas and Lease to turn their heads.
"Hey brother" Dirk, the owner of the voice said taking a seat.
"You're back?" The expression on Lucas's face was indifferent as he went to take a seat with Dirk at the table.
"No, actually, I'm still at the airport in Hong Kong right now. Of course I'm back. Why ask an obvious question "
There was clear visual of annoyance all over Lucas's face.
"Good day sir." Lease greeted holding back his laughter. Dirk was the only one who got on Lucas's nerves this way.
"Does your mom know you're back?" Lucas felt he should ask but ended up regretting it.
"Mom?" Dirk looked like he was going to die of laughter. "I'd rather take my time to notify her"
*Of course he didn't tell her*
Lucas was annoyed so he turned the tables "Does dad know?" A single question from Lucas swiped the smile off Dirk's face.
Lucas smiled "I see"
"Hey , bro..."
"Do you still think you can try and make jokes here?"
"Jokes?" Dirk laughed like it was the most unbelievable thing he'd ever heard "what am I, a comedian? Of course I shouldn't make jokes" he waved his hand. "Speaking of which, I'm being very serious now when I say this" he looked at Lucas who'd just turned to wow at his younger brother. "Can I stay at your place for the time being?"
Lucas was speechless "Get the hell out of my office "
"Bro, please. I can't go to dad's house. He's gonna kill me"
"I'll make sure you're celebrated in an unforgettable way" he said walking back to his desk and sitting.
"Luke, c'mon. I know you don't mean that" Dirk laughed nervously. "
"We both know I do" Lucas smiled. He was obviously enjoying this but Dirk had no choice but to keep begging.
"Sir, your meeting" these three words from Lease ended their bickering.
Lucas stood up and headed for the door not even glancing at Dirk.
"And oh, Dirk..."this was too amusing for him "close the door behind you when you leave" he said and walked out with Lease.

At the sound of the door closing, the sorry look on Dirk's face disappeared.
"Huh" he smirked. "We'll see".
