Avery's POV
"It's two weeks to Christmas Avery. Oh my God , I can't bliv it's almost here" Cole keeps chirping on the other side of the phone.
"What's the big deal? It's not the first time u've travelled." I roll my eyes while sketching new designs of clothes.
"Yh, but it the first time I'm going with 'You'" she shouts the last word into my ear and I reflexively pull the phone away from my ear.
"Could you not burst my eardrums open?" I ask in an unbelievable tone.
I can feel her rolling her eyes now. And almost simultaneously, we burst out laughing at the same time.
"Your colleagues would think you're crazy " I tell her even though I think they already see her that way.
"It's ok, they already think I am" I knew it. "Os it busy at the shop?" She asks me.
"Nope. Unsurprisingly." I sigh
"Would you stop that, I bet it's your negative aura that's chasing them all away. Keep a positive mind, would you?"
And then, a thought crosses my mind.
"You must have a lot of free time today. This is the longest we've talked on the phone while you're at work"
"Oh, this?" She laughs. "I'm very important here, so no matter..." she's cut off by a man's raging voice. ("Miss. Rayes!"). "Gotta go" and she cuts the call. I burst out laughing. Shell never change. She shouldn't.
I drop the phone on the table and take a deep breath. "Ok. Positivity." I take another deep breath. "Ok, customers, come at me" I say standing up and making welcoming gestures with my hands keeping my eyes closed. "Oh, am I feeling positive or what? Who says I can't be posotive? I am a body full of positivity. I might even be Positivity it's self." I unconsciously lift an lid up only 2 see the woman who'd been here for the past thirty minutes in front of my table with the clothes she'd finally picked out, looking at me like I should be in chains.
I instinctively bring down my flaying arms and stand erect. "Yes ma'am" *shoot, I totally forgot someone was here*
"Wrap these up for me she says in a low and careful tone and pushing the clothes towards me while maintaining a 'very' safe distance.
I tight my eyes shot in embarrassment before reaching out to take the clothes.
After settling the woman and she leaves, I fall on my seat.
"Seriously." I let out yet another sigh.
I bend my head on my table ready to take a nap when my laptop vibrates. My head shoots up and my fingers work the keyboard. There's a request for 20 of my new designs. I blank out. "I haven't even been asleep dat long, what kind of dream is this?" I slap my cheek and the stinging pain assures me that I am wide awake.
"Is it not possible?" Another message comes from the same person and I guickly reply before he changes his mind.At Lucas's place
Dirk is sprawled across the sofa while waiting for a text.
"Of course it's possible" the online service he'd searched for replied. "Just send in your a dress and it'll be sent right over"
"Oh no, I'm just making a reservation. I need it on the 23rd night"(Over at the shop, Avery can't bliv what she's reading. "What?!. This better not be a prank or you've just messed with the wrong person". But she all so calmly replies...)
"Ok. No problem. Send in your address" and Dirk does just that, sending in Lucas's address.
"I'll just have to do with these since I'm short on money" he said turning on the sofa. He'd lost his luggage at the airport so he'd been borrowing clothes from Lucas's which would eventually have to stop. "Better now than later" he says while tossing around.
