Chapter 6 |Us|
****************Cas's POV**************
Dean went back to his house and promised to text me since his dad was home. I changed into a different long sleeved shirt, but it wasn't as warm. I pulled my phone and since I rarely use it, the thing was on full charge. I flop down on my bed, putting in earphones from my nightstand and listen to the music Dean illegally downloaded.
Heat of the Moment-Asia
Carry on my wayward son-Kanas
Eye of the tiger-Survivor
I put it on shuffle and press play. I listen to it for a moment until I recognise it is still an older song, but sounds sorta like a lullaby.
I'm gonna be (500 miles)-Sleeping at last (The Proclaimers)
I squint and tilt my head. Dean wouldn't usually listen to a song like this. About love, like you would do anything for them. Maybe I got this, but it was more likely Dean did because he pretty much owns my phone's music and applications. It actually is a very beautiful song and I'm sad when it ends.
I go on YouTube and attempt to find the original song. I find it with ease and listen to it. The original is just as good as the cover. I close out of the application and go to the music application again. I put the same song on and just as I finish I get a text from Dean.
Dean: Hey, you okay?
I nod, then realize he cant see me. Laughing, I write the text.
Cas: I'm okay. I guess.
Dean: Okay. If you say so.
Cas: You don't need to hover over me, I'm fine.
It takes a few minutes for him to compose the text.
Dean: I just don't want to loose someone again. Especially someone I love.
I think back to when his mom died. We were young, just about the time we met. I'm not sure how she died, but she did and we can't get her back.
Cas: I'm not leaving you. I'd go crazy.
Dean: So would I. Do you want to do something later? School just got out. (Officially)
Cas: Don't you have detention or something?
Dean: I wasn't there half the day. I was doing something way more important.
I think back to when he found my cuts. He grabbed my wrist, and it stung. I pulled away quickly. That's how it started. I told him why, how I thought I would loose him. He wrapped his strong arms around me the whole time I was talking and would wipe my tears away. His dad was getting home soon and I had to leave. His dad doesn't like me. It was okay, I felt better.
Cas: I guess.
Dean: Since dad is home, can I come to your house? I'm bored.
Cas: We have homework.
Dean: We'll do it together!!!
Cas: Uh, how about no. Remember last time?
Dean: I thought we were over that.
Cas: I still need to get work done and you'll distract me.
Dean: Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?
Cas: Fine! Fine! The door is open.
He doesn't respond and knowing he won't, I put down my phone. The song ended so I take my earphones out. I throw my them and my phone onto the nightstand. My eyes move around the ceiling, looking for something except it's nothing.
