POV: Danaerys

Jorah. That's what had happened to him Danaerys thought. Releasing him of his duties as her advisor on her council was the worse idea she had ever conceived but losing him as a friend was worse. "Rise Ser Jorah" she commanded him "we must talk in private later." She said and he smiled. She turned to address the Golden company as a whole. "My dear men. I would like to use your services but I don't not know your price or conditions." She explained. It was then that two dwarfs ran up the steps and handed her 2 scrolls. The woman said "these are our contracts both of which are identical. We are trusting you with both to check this. Please read them and answer the leaders of the Company as soon as you can. If you have and questions, please ask me or my friend Tyrion. Thank you your grace." She finished her practiced speech and bowed. "Thank you." Danaerys said "it would be my honor to recruited a group of such skilled warriors into my service but I must first read the contract. In the mean time, there is a feast waiting and I wish to know you all individually. Please proceed to the next hall and we can talk." There was a muffled noise as all the members of the company moved in the direction of the hall.

"Griff what an interesting name. You don't sound Essosi. Where are you from?" She asked the man. "Khalessi, may my son and I speak with you in private?" He asked in a low tone. "Of course" Danaerus said as she summoned two of her Unsullied. "you can never be too carful." She said. When negotiating she always took her guests to the catacombs. She knew that her dragons would keep her safe. They got down there and one of the Unsullied lit the torches. "Thank you Red rat" she said, nodding as she did. She then turned to her guest "would is it that you would like to tell me?" She asked. "My queen, are you familiar with the house sigils of Westeros?" The man asked. "Yes" she said, hoping that this discussion would actually lead somewhere. "Griff is short for Griffin which is bit my name but my house sigil." He said. "And the Griffin is the sigil of house... Connington?" She said with a quizzical intonation. The man fell to his knees "My queen I am Lord Jon Connington of Griffins roost, I was hand of the king to your father and best friend to your older brother, Prince Rhaegar. Please let me join your council." He said with the upmost respect. Viserys had told her about this man, claiming that he was a bit more that a friend to Rhaegar. "I will see." Danaerys said "I must first come to trust you and know you as..." She paused as her gaze had wandered over to her dragons. She had tamed them which meant that they would listen to Valyrian commands or to anyone with a connection to Old Valyria. So who was this boy about her age who was riding Rhaegal?
