4th February - 8th February. It was your first week of language school but now it's the weekend: 6th February and you had only one plan and one place to spend your Saturday, at the park with a good book.

You have cooked yourself breakfast and watched your favourite kdrama. It was peaceful outside, slightly windy but the weather was getting better and you were so ready for your first spring in Korea. Everything was beginning to fall in place and it's been just over a week since you moved here, everything, every small detail was right and everything was better.

Now upon finishing your breakfast you wash up the dishes and stare longingly out of the small box window above the sink. The small park opposite your apartment has a few people in it and near it are a few benches and picnic tables where you see a few guys setting up a camera with some food: fruits, cakes and noodles. At the same time a notification pops up on your phone with a faint ring. You take it from the back pocket of your worn out blue, floral shorts and look down - "STRAY KIDS: 피크닉 시간" (STRAY KIDS: PICNIC TIME). You look out the window as you click the video and look surprisingly at the 9 boys on the picnic tables. There they are... right in front of your apartment.

Still watching the live stream you prepare to go out of the door. The weather today is warm, with a slight wind so you have decided that your outfit is a pair of high waisted blue floral shorts and a loose black jumper. Your hair is long and wavy after you release your hair from tight braids. Your make up is again a natural build with light colours and tones, a light highlighter and bold eyelashes. On the live video the boys are just setting up all the food and talking about their upcoming tour in Australia at the end of the month, Jeongin's 18th Birthday yesterday and also the upcoming album.

You grab your laptop bag, a simple book and your bag. Slipping on your black trainers you lock the door and run down towards the park.
Adjacent to the picnic tables is a few empty benches, in the sunlight and out in the open. A perfect space for you to read your book or study before heading to the cafe. You cross the street and elegantly approach the benches, flashing a soft smile towards those you pass. As you reach closer to the wooden benches you listen to the boys who are excited for their food, you widely smile to yourself and tuck your hair behind your ears looking down to the green grass. You're still giggling to yourself at the noises Changbin and Felix we're making as they were preparing the noodles for the boys to eat.

Settling down on the bench you place one leg over the other and lean back, reaching maximum comfort and opening your book. It's quieter now, the boys are eating and talking to the fans on vlive, reading comments. You look up over your book and catch the attention of Felix.
You look down again and smile. Blushing and fixing your hair.
You see him moving from the table and you follow his movement to the bench you're sitting on. He slowly squats down, looking at your book and places a hand on your thigh.

"Hi!! You're here too... it's been a while.. how's school?" He says smoothly while smiling towards you.. eyes locking together in a moment of intimacy.
"Felix, I... we haven't spoken in so long.. I'm doing well at school! How's training? You work so hard" you reply excitedly.
"Wow.. that's great! I'm doing good too, practice is difficult but that's part of job! I like it, I like dancing and I enjoy the time with my brothers. I like seeing you now too!" He confidently expresses.
Stunned you giggle towards him and place your hand on his, lightly saying "Thank you Felix, really, talking to you makes me feel less alone in this place.. you've helped me when I'm running behind and confused. Thank you. You make things easier for me!"
In return he smiles sweetly looking deeply into your eyes and chuckling deeply.

Suddenly in a swift move he takes out a pen and slides your book from your hands. He flicks through the pages to the end of the book, writes down a little note and a set of numbers before calmly closing it, putting down on your lap and standing: "I better get back to my brothers, I'll see you soon ..." he says kindly in his cute Australian accent, turning around and skipping lovingly back to the guys who all stare in confusion.
You watch as he whispers to Chris and they both look towards you. You look shyly in their direction before raising from your seat and strolling past them.

Casually you flick from page to page, right to the end of your book as you walk towards the cafe. On the back page of your book is a little note:

"(Y/N) .. here's my number. There's a lot of things to understand in Korea, especially Cheongdam and you might need my help!
I hope we talk soon,
Love Felix x"

Your heart flutters as you reread the note again and again, you're weak, your heart is pounding.. the blood flowing to your cheeks leaving a light rose glow. This is perfect, you think to yourself.

"Can I really love him already.. can I really be falling in love.. this soon?" You carefully whisper to yourself.

Life is unreal here, in Korea, and it's about to get so much better.
