I was woken up to something clanging on my cell. I guess it was time to get up. The man standing in front of me had dark hair, brown eyes, and was lanky and tall. He carried himself with confidence even though he was weak. I guess you would have confidence as well if you were on the other side of the cell. His name was Dr. Wilson."22-4, it's time." I got up immediately. I've learned from a very early age that if I didn't do what they wanted, I would be punished.
Dr. Wilson took out a special key-card and slid through a slot and my cell opened. Dr. Wilson came through with a clipboard as usual. He gave me a cold smile which I returned with a blank stare. I've learned not to show emotions unless they wanted me to.
"Well, it's test day." He said with a little to much happiness. I flinched as he took my hand to lead me to a test chamber. This was my life. Testing every single day. I still don't know what they were trying to accomplish and believe me I've tried.
He led me to a new chamber I've never seen before and said, "stay there until we tell you what to do." Then he left me there. I was nervous but made sure to leave my face blank of emotions. Never let people know you're afraid. It's something they can use against you.
As I waited, I could hear my stomach growl. I was hungry. Hopefully, if I did a good job, they would feed me. That was wishful thinking though. I ate yesterday. They probably won't feed me until much later. Suddenly, the ground began to rumble, but I stood my ground and watched as another a door I hadn't noticed open.
So this was my test. Agility and fighting. Easy. A horrible growl came from the inside and out came the hugest dog I've very seen. Alright, so I haven't seen a real dog before but I've seen pictures of them. I get to learn stuff when my tests are about intelligence.
The dog was bigger than any Great Dane, Scottish Deerhound, and English Mastiff by far. The dog was pure black and it's eyes were red. Looking into those red eyes and seeing complete and utter hatred, I knew this wasn't any ordinary dog. There was no reasoning with it. This thing, was gonna kill me if didn't strike first.
"Kill it." A voice said in the room. I knew it was Dr. Wilson projecting his voice into the room, I just didn't know how. I didn't see any machines. They must be hidden. I looked back at the hound. It was getting ready to charge, I had no weapons of any sort even though I've practiced with losts, and this hound looked like it could kill me just by sitting on me. The odds were really stacked me against me today but I had seen worce.
The hound charged and I jumped to the side narrowly missing it's teeth. It turned to me, growling in anger. I didn't wait for it to come at me again so I ran at it and kicked it in the face. It stumbled back but not by much. Another panel opened but this time it was on the ceiling. Something fell from it and I realized it was a knife. Quickly I jumped onto the hounds face, used it as a spring board and grabbed the knife before it hit the ground. I landed on the ground with a roll and faced the hound with a knife in hand. It least I could kill it better. Hopefully a nice and quick one.
We both charged at each other. The massive beast swung a paw at me but I ducked just in time. I kept myself moving. A standing target is easier to hit then a moving one. I slashed my knife and gave a huge cut around it's neck. The hound whimperd and fell to the ground. I turned away as it turned to dust.
I'm so sorry. I thought looking at the now huge pile of dust in front of me. I wish I didn't have to kill you. I knew the beast couldn't hear me and that it was dead but I couldn't help but feel sorry. Even if it did try to kill me. The chamber opened and in came Dr. Wilson.
"That was fast." He said. Of course he wouldn't care that I just killed something. He wrote something on his clipboard before looking at the dust with a hint of disgust. I knew he hated beasts like this and would kill them all if he could. I smiled to myself so he couldn't see. He was to much of a coward to kill anything himself unless he knew he would win in the end. Which is why I relish the first test I ever did with him in the room. I was much weaker then and I still thought I was gonna leave this place. I was in a different changer then the one I was in now. Inside the chamber was a ball on a very high petal stool.
