~'~ The next day ~'~Laurence's P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of my dog barking. I jolted awake, taking my sheets off of myself carefully and making my way over to the door, where she was barking at "Good girl Luna.." I said tiredly, and pet her. The female dog tipped happily and padded away from the door. "Ugh.." I grunted and opened the door, my hair looked like a mess, while my clothes were wrinkled. "...What the hell are you doing here Gene?" I asked, scratching the back of my neck. The raven haired male stared at me and looked down. "Get ready and come over to the base. You didn't respond to my texts and it's important." Gene said, clearing his throat. I sighed and nodded a bit, turning away and walking back into my bed room to change. I opened my closet and grabbed a dark red sweatshirt, with some black pants and, dark red with black shoes. I fixed my hair a bit and trudged out of my room crankily.
Gene laughed a bit and we both rushed outside my apartment and into the elevator, making our way to the lobby. "What's so important that you have to tell me?" I asked, turning to him. "We'll discus it at the base, we cant afford anyone to here us." Gene simply said. I nodded, while I played with my some what 'neat' hair. The elevator doors opened, and Gene urged me to walk as fast as I can.
~'~ at the base ~'~
I walked inside our base, Gene snatched my hand and dragged me all the way to his office. I grunted in annoyance, and reluctantly followed him all the way to the roof. "What are we doing up here..?" I asked, curiously.
"I needed to tell you something important. I can't afford for the others to hear this...not right now anyways..." Gene sighed and he rubbed his eyes. "It seems that Garroth told his boss that you...raped him, now their gang is furious and they demand to have a war." Gene splurged out, worry clearly in his voice. I laughed a bit and walked closer to the edge of the building looking down. "Are you seriously worried about those twerps? We could beat them in seconds!" I said cockily. "..Maybe you can, but you don't know how they work. They take out the weakest first, and then they just go up. They're probably saving you for last." Gene said, he started to pace around the rooftop. "...if they play dirty, why don't we play dirty back?" I simply asked, walking along the edge of the rooftop. "...How are we supposed to do that though? We may be criminals but we always played fair!" Gene said defensively, crossing his arms. "That's what the problem is. That's exactly why we almost lost the other war to the other gang, we always played fair." I turned to with a annoyed look. "..I guess your right. Can I ask you a question?" Gene asked, looked over to me. I nodded, and raised an eyebrow curiously. "Will you mind giving some of our lower gang members training? Like, teach them some of the basic tricks..?" Gene asked hesitantly, unfolding his arms and dropping them by his sides. "...Fine...Yeah Okay. I can do that I guess.." I mumbled, reconsidering my opinions. "Okay, why don't you go down to the lobby and pick a low level of ours? Which ever you think is good enough." Gene said and shooed me away, I growled with annoyance and reluctantly went downstairs, I picked up my case at Gene's office and made my way back to the lobby.
I scanned over to crowd of low levels in our gang, my eyes stopped on one. She had raven black hair, and sparkling amber eyes. Usually people would blush, but I'm not really interested in girls. I could admit she was pretty but, not my type. To be honest, not my gender. I walked over to her and grabbed her hand suddenly. She squealed and tried to pull away but my grip was too strong. "I'm training you until your a higher level, be happy." I said plainly, he face lit up and she blushed a bit. "O-okay!" She giggled happily, I let go of her hand and she trailed behind me, into the training room.
She followed me with excitement in her eyes, and we walked up to the weapon stand. "Chose your weapon." I said in a dark voice, like in one of those combat games. I chuckled a bit, and the girls face turned a light pink again. "...I..Uhm...never used a weapon before.." she mumbled, and looked down in embarrassment. I widened my eyes and looked at the weapon stand, then back at her. "You'd look like you would be a person that throws knifes.." I said, and grabbed a throwing knife from the rack. "I would let you use one of my knifes but...your a starter, and you need a starter knife, before you get something complex." I explained, she looked up at me her eyes amazed. "..Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked hesitantly backing away, I was ready at any second to reach into my case for a weapon. "O-oh! Sorry, I'm just so surprised you picked me! My name is Aphmau, your Laurence right?" She said, apolitically. "...Yeah..my name is Laurence...before we get off track, why don't just we start practice already..?" I said cautiously, reaching into my case for one of my knifes. I flipped the knife it my hand and caught it by the handle. "Isn't your signature weapon a chainsaw?" She asked, her head leaning to the side. "Yeah..it is, but I don't always use it. I use knifes as well, like I said before." I muttered, annoyance lingering in my voice. 'Why was she asking so many questions?' I thought to myself as we walked towards the throwing knife area. "Watch me first, you may not get it on the first try but that's fine." I said and focused myself on the target, I took a few steps back and threw the knife. The knife spun in the air and it landed on the target in the middle, I smiled smugly and put my hands on my hips examining my work.
"That was awesome! Can I try now?!" She said excitedly, I nodded and walked up to the target grabbing my knife. Before I finished getting the knife, she threw her throwing knife. She squealed in surprise, as she saw I was still there. I looked back at the knife she threw and widened my eyes, I yanked hard on the knife and moved out the way before the knife made my head the target. The knife hit the target, but on the far right, almost not touching the target at all. I took a deep breath and grunted angrily, my eyes flicked to a dark red then back to my usual pale blue. "What the fuck.." I turned back to Aphmau and walked over to her, making her look me in the eye. "Why did you do that? You could have killed me if I wasn't paying attention!" I snapped at her, crossing my arms. "I-I wasn't paying attention..I'm sorry Laurence.." She said shakily, tears clouding her eyes and fear lingering in her voice as she looked down. "Don't cry. There's nothing to cry over, even if I get mad I don't harm people in my gang. So stop crying." I said firmly, and used my hand to bring her head back up trying to hide the sympathy and sorrow I felt. I may be a murder, but I have emotions too! "O-okay.." She Stuttered, and backed away. I sighed and gave her a fake smile, trying to make her happy. She blushed and gave a soft smile back. I wonder why she keeps on blushing..? I guess it's nothing...
