Unfortunately Josie's second class failed to fly past as fast as the first. Her mind drifted elsewhere as the teacher rambled on monotonously about due process and other amendments that Josie neglected to focus on as her pencil tapped repeatedly on her desk in front of her.

Though this was a school for the supernatural, the standard American academic material was still required and Josie often found herself bored in these classes, wishing constantly to only be practicing her magic.

Scenes of Penelope and her in the hallway just a little bit ago began to flood her mind. The pain she swore she noticed in Penelope's eyes. But why would Penelope even feel a glimpse of sadness? She had gotten what she wanted. She had gotten to Josie. Wasn't that satisfying enough?

Josie threw her pencil down and rubbed her eyes as she tried to push those thoughts out of her mind, but struggled immensely.

The bell rang just in time as she thought she would never escape from her head consumed by her evil ex. She gathered her things and headed out the door to find her sister for lunch.

Making it to the dining hall, Josie's eyes scanned over the crowd for Lizzie, but failed to find her or really anyone one of her friends. She simply assumed her sister was not there yet and decided to find an open table for the both of them.

Josie began unpacking her lunch, but upon looking at it she realized she was anything but hungry. With everything that had happened in the past twenty four hours Josie found herself at a loss of an appetite. So instead she put her meal away and whipped out one of her offensive spell books.

If there was anything last night had proved, it was that the monsters weren't gone. And Josie was going to be ready when the next one came.

Her eyes ran over the page as she explored the hundreds of different types of offensive spells. There were several for every kind of situation and Josie felt powerful just holding the book in her hands.

"Is this seat taken?"

Josie looked up to see Rafael with a shy smile on his face.

"Actually yeah, I'm waiting for Lizzie." Josie replied in a kind of frazzled way.

She wasn't sure how to exactly act with him now. They had shared a kiss of their own which was mainly to get out of that giant spider web. But then he slept with her sister and then broke her heart last night. It was all too confusing for Josie, everything was, so in this moment she just wished he would leave her alone.

"Yeah about that," Rafael began while sitting down in the seat next to her. "I just wanted to explain myself. Look I'm not trying to hurt Lizzie. It's just that night between her and I should've never happened, and it would be wrong of me not to be honest with Lizzie because she really is a great girl. I'm just not ready for a relationship."

Josie didn't know what to say but chose to nod her head because she really did understand what he was saying.

"And I just wanted to make sure we're still cool and you're not stirring up some even plan with your sister to ruin me. I hear you witches can be pretty ruthless." He joked with the last sentence and Josie joined his laughter.

"Oh no, of course not. Lizzie is definitely upset but also very dramatic." Josie rolled her eyes. "She'll get over it, don't worry."

"Okay, good." A smile appeared on Rafael's face. "So we're good too?"

"Yeah, we're good." Josie reassured with a friendly smile.

"Alright, cool- here comes Lizzie, I'll see you later." Rafael spoke and got up from the seat leaving quickly.
