A couple weeks had passed since Josie and Penelope's encounter in the locker room. The two hadn't talked since then, or really even seen each other.

It seemed like every single time Josie happened to bump into Penelope she'd look or even walk the other way as fast as she could. It was obvious she was avoiding Josie, but that's what Josie wanted right?

Then why couldn't she shake this upsetting feeling inside her?

She brushed everything off once again as she headed to meet up with her sister and friends for lunch.

Spotting the blonde in the crowded lunch room she quickly plopped down in the seat next to her sister before pulling out her lunch for that day.

A few minutes later Hope and Landon appeared and occupied the seats in front of them.

Hope held onto Landon's arm tightly as if she was making sure he wasn't going anywhere again.

After Alaric and Dorian went off to find Landon who had made a great escape, they soon discovered he was supernatural and deserved to be at this school after all.

Hope wanted to keep it and her new Phoenix boyfriend that way.

The four began small talk before Hope and Landon got wrapped up in a conversation of their own.

Which meant this was the perfect time for Lizzie to catch Josie up on the news.

Seeing the opportunity she quickly set her sandwich down before ordering Josie to do the same.

"Put that sandwich down sister, I have an important life update I need to share with you." Lizzie faced completely towards Josie who did the same.

Josie nearly choked on her last bite as the sandwich was swatted from her hands and she turned to face her sister with a surprised expression at her sister's excitement. "Okay, what is it?" Josie coughed a little trying to dislodge the piece of bread stuck in the middle of her throat.

"MG and I are going on a date, tonight."

Josie had just managed to get the piece of bread out of her throat before she choked on it all over again after hearing Lizzie's great reveal.

"Oh my god, what is wrong with you?" Lizzie asked while patting Josie's back to try and help her cough up the bread again.

"Sorry." Josie spoke finally removing and swallowing the troubling piece of food. "It's just I'm surprised."

Lizzie's face instantly displayed defensiveness showing she took it as an insult.

"No, not like that." Josie grabbed her sister's hand calmly. "I just mean, it seemed like he had made up his mind, I wonder what changed."

"Oh I know, and I'm not surprised." Lizzie rolled her eyes.

"What?" Josie asked confused.

"Turns out Penelope had 'suggested' whatever that means," Lizzie made air quotes with her fingers before continuing to explain, "that he shouldn't go out with me. That little witch tried to manipulate him. But like I said it doesn't surprise me. Nothing's too low for her." Lizzie's voice grew more and more agitated before she decided to calm down, thinking Penelope wasn't worth getting excited over.

"Okay, so who talked him back into it?" Josie questioned annoyed with how Lizzie never finished the story.

"Oh, Penelope." Lizzie spoke nonchalantly.

Josie didn't say anything and instead shook her head in confusion.

"Yeah, MG said she came up to him a little over a week ago to apologize and tell him it wasn't any of her business to tell him what he should or shouldn't do, and that he should what makes him happy. He said it took him a little bit to finally ask me out though because he was afraid to ask me after he had rejected me." Lizzie had began to poke at her sandwich as she filled Josie in on the past couple of weeks.
