Blaise's POV
September 19,1990
I was seated on the dining table beside Draco, eating our pancakes while talking.

We had no big meal as mum and the girls were done eating early in the morning to do whatever they were meant to do.

We were still waiting to be called by mum so we took all our time here at the table to talk about going to school at Hogwarts next September.

"I really do hope that I'm sorted in Slytherin," Draco said with a shudder. "I don't want my parents to disown me." he joked.

"Me too. I don't want to disappoint my family either." I agreed and stuffed my mouth with the yummy pancakes.

"What time do you think your mum's calling us up? It's already quarter to eight." Draco asked with a quick glance at the grandfather clock and took a sip of his pumpkin juice.

"Dunno, they are taking too long." I said and finished up the last of my pancakes.

"True." he agreed and pushed away his plate, which wasn't cleared yet.

"You done?" I asked Draco, eyeing the plate with interest.

"You can have it." he said with a laugh and I instantly stuffed the remaining pancake into my mouth with my own fork.

"Ew." Draco said in disgust and leaned back from me a little.

I swallowed the lot and topped it off with pumpkin juice, which I finished in one gulp.

"Done." I say in triumph.

"Disgusting pig." Draco joked.

"Shush it." I say and punch him on the shoulder playfully with a laugh.

"Whatever," Draco started and I knew what was coming next. "you pig." he said, just as I expected.

I was about to smack him for real when mum's voice came into my head.

"Boys, come upstairs to my room now. Stop fighting." mum said.

"Mum told us to come upstairs now Draco." I told Draco, even though I already know that he also heard mum, and stood up from the chair, with him following behind.

As we walked up the stairs, we were talking about what the girls would look like, knowing that they took three hours to prepare.

"Pretty sure their faces are going to be full of what mum calls makeup." I said as we neared mum's room.

Draco laughed.

"Mother uses that too. She just uses it lightly though, it just makes her skin glow more. At least that's what she says." he said with a snort.

"Mum uses it too. I don't get the use of it." I said with a shrug and opened the door to mum's room, expecting the girls to still be there.

As Draco and I walked in however, the girls were no longer there.

Mum was seated by her vanity and was already dressed for the party.

"Go dress into your robes boys. After that, come here and I'll fix your hair." she instructed and pointed at the ginormous wardrobe, where Draco and I's dressing robes hung by the handle.

Draco and I nodded and took the robes and then Draco went off to change first in the bathroom, as we were both shy to change together.

After Draco, I entered the bathroom to change.

A few minutes later, Draco and I were seated in front of the vanity, where mum used magic to fix our hair.

"Mum, what time does the party exactly start?" I asked mum, who was filing her already perfect nails on her bed.

"Around 11." mum replied without looking up from her nails.

"What time is it anyways?" I thought loudly and looked over to the grandfather clock, where it was already past 10.

I was about to loose my head when the brushes and combs stopped fixing our hair thankfully.

"You two look handsome!" mum exclaimed and stood up from the bed to hug us both.

She engulfed us in a tight hug and let us go after a minute or two.

"My children are turning 11 today!" mum said cheerfully and brought us out the door to the hallway where our bedrooms could be found.

"Where are we going mum?" I asked her as we walked past our rooms.

"You children stay at the drawing room first, you four will be making a grand entrance." she explained and ushered us in the drawing room, where Pansy and Blaire sat on the couch, with a book opened on the table.

Blaire and Pansy stopped reading and looked up as they heard us come in.

"I see you two are already dressed." Blaire said with a smile.

"Is it obvious?" I said sarcastically and went to sit down on one of the armchairs.

Blaire and Pansy rolled their eyes.

Draco went to sit down on the armchair across me.

"Children, I need you to be in pairs when you come downstairs okay?" mum said.

"Okay." we four said in unison.

"Here, let's pair you guys up," mum said and tapped her chin with a finger. "Blaire and Draco will be first to come down then Blaise and Pansy after they come down fully." she explained.

We nodded and she walked out the room, leaving us there with no further instructions.

"Well, how do we know if–" I started to ask when mum's voice rang in my mind.

"I'll use Legilimency." mum said.

I was sure Blaire, Pansy and Draco heard it too, as they were now nodding in agreement.

"You girls look good. Is that why you two took long to prepare?" I snorted.

It was true though, Blaire was wearing the dress she picked at the store and had light makeup on.

Pansy too, she was also wearing the dress she picked at the store but wore more makeup than Blaire.

They both glared at me and I held my hands up in surrender, as their faces looked like they could kill.

Well that's what mum tells me sometimes.

After a few minutes of teasing and mocking each other, mum's voice rang in our minds again.

"It's time." she said.

"Let's go." I said with a fake sweet smile and took Pansy's arm to hook it with mine as mum taught me.

Blaire and Draco followed suit and we walked out the room to the stairs.

I took a deep breath as we neared the staircase, and by the hears of it, Blaire did too.

We stood up at the top of the staircase, behind Blaire and Draco.

Many guests stood at the bottom of the staircase, among them familiar faces and unfamiliar ones.

With a last intake of deep breath, Blaire and Draco walked down the stairs.
