Blaire's POV
October 29,1990
"You look amazing Blaire!" mum cried happily and clasped her hands together in glee.I twirled around once and looked at myself in the mirror.
I agreed with mum, I did look amazing in this dress.
It was a black puffy bottomed off shoulder dress with netting that mum bought me for the Halloween ball of the Malfoys later.
"I look stunning mum!" I exclaimed and turned to give her a hug.
"Your welcome dear." mum chuckled slightly and kissed the crown of my head.
"Can we go to the Malfoys now?" I asked her.
"Sure, call Blaise outside. We'll be riding a carriage." mum instructed me and walked out the bedroom downstairs.
I walked out after her and turned to Blaise's room.
"Blaise, we're going now!" I said through the door as I knocked.
"I'm coming!" I heard Blaise shout from the other side and I stepped back as I heard the door lock click open.
"You look nice Blaise." I said with a grin as I looked him up and down.
He was wearing black dress robes with matching colored pants, an orange and white striped necktie and expensive leather shoes.
"You look nice too." he said and also looked me up and down with a grin.
"Let's go outside now before mum calls us." I say and drag him alongside me down the stairs to the open double doors where mum was waiting for us in a black carriage with gold decorations that had no horses however.
"Where's the horses mum?" Blaise asked mum as we entered the carriage and sat opposite her.
"Thestrals Blaise, we're using them to drive us to the Malfoy's." she explained as the carriage moved forwards to the gates which opened with a creak and closed back again as we exited.
"How come we can't see them?" Blaise asked with a confused look on his face and turned around to look at the invisible Thestrals.
"They can only be seen by those who have seen others die in person Blaise." I answered his question in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Of course you know the answer." I heard him mumble under his breath.
"A simple 'thank you' would have done it." I said and shot him a glare.
"No need to fight you two." mum said strictly before Blaise was able to retort.
I heard Blaise huff in defeat and I smiled triumphantly at him just to annoy him.
"Mum, the day after our ball tomorrow Blaise and I will be going to stay at the Malfoys right?" I asked mum after a short while of silence.
"Yes, you'll be staying there for a month." she answered.
"When are you going there at the Malfoys anyway mum? You said you'll come there for a meeting." I asked her.
"I'll be there around mid-November for something very important that includes you, Blaise, Draco, and Pansy." mum replied and looked back and forth from Blaise and I.
"So, you're coming there at the Malfoys but not there to pick us up yet." Blaise said slowly.
"Yes, that's correct indeed Blaise." mum nodded.
"Why are we included in your meeting mum?" I asked her curiously.
"The meeting's going to be very important since it provides a task for the four of you Blaire," mum explained as she turned to look at me. "but you will be given the hardest task." she added with a curt nod.
