He gave the older a soft smile, hoping it looked reassuring enough.

"Sorry, this all just seems so surreal."

Taehyung cocked his head to the side.

Jungkook answered his unspoken question. "Like I can't believe it's happening."

Taehyung looked away. "Well, it's... it's okay if you're mad. I understand."

Jungkook's eyes widened. "No! Tae- No! I'm not mad! I could never be mad at you."

Taehyung looked up with hopeful eyes. "You're sure?"

Jungkook smiled, and nodded. "Of course. And you wanna know why?"

Taehyung nodded.

"Because I like you too, Tae."

Taehyung's eyes widened, before he squinted them skeptically. "You're just saying that because you feel bad."

Jungkook shook his head, chuckling. "I pinky promise you I'm telling the truth."
