( plot summary )

it's the summer of of 1971–free spirits are running amuck, and love is in the air. most young adults are spending their days driving up to the beach with their friends, living it up at concerts, or going on a romantic picnic with their significant other. although there was one unlucky soul who did not have that luxury—eliza wesley. for eliza, summer was the time to work hard so she can afford to go to school, and hopefully work towards her dream of opening up her own book publishing company. although whenever a brunette man strolls into her bookstore one day, that goal may become a little harder to reach.

— eliza is your classic soulful hopeless romantic bookworm. she's loved literature ever since she was a child, and loves to quote the works of shakespeare, whitman, dickinson, thoreau etc. but she's also a hard working, ambitious woman who comes from a family whose not well off enough to pay for her to go to school; thus why she's spending her summer working in a bookstore. she especially loves the classic and her favorite book is little women by louisa may alcott.
         — one of her biggest flaws is her naivety when it comes to love. her parents married whenever they were only 17 and despite their relationship not being perfect cause of their financial struggles, she has this facade that if you love someone you can get through anything. she comes to later learn that this is easier said than done.
        — it doesn't take long for eliza and john to fall head over heels with the other. the two become so infatuated with the other immediately that it doesn't take long before they are both completely smitten. they both have the quality of when they fall, they fall hard and fast.
       — this story begins as your traditional summer romance so there will be a lot of fluff. although whenever john joins queen and they start to become successful, the riffs in their relationship will begin to come forward.
       — this fic will span across the timeline of several years; basically the more famous queen becomes, the more eliza and john will struggle, and the angst and uncertainty surrounding their relationship will grow. also eliza's ambition in her career goals will cause a few riffs between them.
       — it is up to the writer if they want the two to end up together or not.
