Luna Ardelean stood on the docks of Camp Half-Blood, lost in the scenery that surrounded her. The air held a chill to it as she wrapped her arms around herself. In the sky, every color of the sunset mixed together to bring on something so beautiful she almost didn't think it was real. It was surreal, like a painting.
"I hate when you admire the sunset and don't invite me,"
Percy Jackson walked up to the love of his life, hands shoved in the pockets of his jeans. She turned to him, a smile immediately crossing her lips. Her hand reached out for his, and they intertwined as she was tugging into his side. She took a deep breath, memorizing every inch of him as he held her close, both of them admiring the sunset.
"I just like to escape sometimes,"
"You could've stayed on Olympus, that would've been quite the escape,"
Luna couldn't help but roll her eyes at the sarcastic remark from Percy, looking up at him. After all this time, his ocean eyes still captivated every inch of her, drawing her in and locking her in place. It was a sight she hoped she never had to stop seeing.
"My life is here, at camp," Luna whispered, the two just looking at once another in peace. The camp was quiet, everyone currently crowded around the fire-pit as they were alone at the docks. "You, Arrow, Annabeth, Grover, Olympus isn't home without my family."
"And nowhere is home without you," Percy's voice was soft as he looked down into Luna's eyes. The same grey eyes that he fell in love with so long ago it seems. It brought a smile to his face to know that he was looking down at the love of his life, holding his soulmate in his arms because that's what she was. "This might be a little cheesy, but you're my forever, moon child."
"You're mine too, water boy," the familiar nicknames brought smiles to their faces as they pulled themselves into a kiss.
Luna's hands slid through Percy's dark hair, threading through it as her lips moved in time with his. Percy held her back, his hands gripping her waist like it was the last moment he would ever hold her. He had lost her once, he never wanted to have a last kiss with her again.
They pulled away, foreheads resting together as the sun finally completely set, darkness beginning to envelop the camp. Luna closed her eyes, a million thoughts flooding through her head. She was swarmed with thoughts and images that made her stomach do flips.
"Something is coming," Luna whispered, opening her eyes to look up at Percy. He looked down at her cocking his head slightly. "Something is going to happen soon."
"Is this a godly feeling, or a Luna feeling?"
"I don't know what it is, I just know it's true," she whispered again.
Luna Ardelean looked out to the lake of Camp Half-Blood, trying to make sense of the thoughts in her head. They were warnings. She saw images of battle, a chariot, ancient beings, cyclops, and finally one that puzzled her. She saw someone confused, someone who didn't understand their own life, as if they remembered nothing.
"Promise me that no matter what happens, you'll never forget me,"
"What?"
"Promise me, Percy Jackson, that you'll never forget me. That you'll always find your way back to me," Luna whispered again, looking back up at the love of her life.
Percy was lost as he cupped her cheek, keeping her eyes on his. He didn't understand what sparked the question, but he could see Luna's eyes; she was afraid. He tugged her closer, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"I swear on the river styx that I will never, ever forget you, Luna Ardelean. I'll always find my way home, because you are my home."
