IV

Taehyung lost the meaning of the word hapiness a long time ago, so it would be wrong to say he felt happy when Jimin finally left. It was more a kind of relief what he was feeling.

On the other side, while Jimin was walking down the streets after leaving Taehyung's apartement, there was a wide smile plastered on his face, making his eyes almost dissapear, only his eyelids visible.
Jimin still knew what hapiness was, even if he would feel only a small amount of it, it was enough for him.
And now, Jimin felt it again, that small amount of hapiness because he was a step closer to Taehyung. A step closer to his goal.

The blonde guy couldn't stop talking about the recent case of the dead girl and he couldn't stop nagging at Taehyung for not taking care of himself. For Taehyung's ears it was like a bird chirp. Not the beautiful kind, the one which was like a calming melody for your ears, but the annoying one, the one which felt like someone was poking your ears with too many needles at the same time.

Jimin stayed for approximately two hours after Taehyung woke up and if he stayed just a minute longer, Taehyung would probably suffocate.
He invided his privacy the whole time he was there, roaming through the room, touching the few objects which were placed here and there and asking Taehyung for more information about himself, which Taehyung of course wouldn't give. The worst thing was using his laptop and complaining how he didn't have anything interesting to see on it-no pictures, no videos-nothing.
Taehyung was on the verge of exploding and kicking him out but he didn't have the strenght to do anything.
One thing Jimin did was for sure helpfull, but Taehyung didn't want to admit it. The soup, whatever it tasted like, and the medicine he gave him, helped Taehyung so much, that by the time Jimin left, Taehyung was able to get up and move properly.

After Jimin left he slowly made his way back to his bed taking the laptop in his lap, not knowing what he could do for the rest of the day.
He wasn't sure if he should watch the anime he saw on one site few days ago or let himself do nothing and drown in his own thoughts again.

He went to the long list of search history Jimin had made earlier and got frustrated at the attempt to find the site. There were about fifty sites with the news about Piper Moore that Jimin had visited and Taehyung groaned.
He only closed his eyes for two seconds and when he opened them again he was looking at the picture of that girl he had to listen about for two hours. There was a long article written on her and Taehyung stopped for a second, taking a deep breath.
He wasn't sure if it was a misclick or he actually wanted to see it.

He licked his lips unconsciously leaning closer, to see the letters better and he slowly started reading.
He couldn't help but roll his eyes at it.
Everything the person behind the article said was how he or she had a theory on Piper not commiting suicide but being killed.
When he went to the comment section he recognized usernames of few of the students he would sometimes see in the halls. It's not that he wanted to know them or hear  about them, but they were always everywhere. The center of attention. So when he saw their usernames on that article too, he wasn't surprised, of course they would comment. What he was surprised about was what they wrote.

"That bitch should've killed herself long time ago."

"If someone did kill her, I bet she asked for it."

"Lmao, whoever did it, I feel sorry for them if they end up in prison, when they actually did a good thing."

He furrowed his eyebrows, a sigh leaving his mouth. This was the reason he hated people, the reason he stayed away from everyone, the reason he didn't have any faith in humanity and the reason he didn't feel like living at all.
They are cruel, they are selfish, they betray, they kill. That thought went through Taehyung's mind too many times. He scrolled down through few more comments and decided to just close that site.
He stared at the windows' background few more moments.
He lost the will to watch that anime and for some reasons even after closing the site, Piper's picture was floating in front of his eyes.
Just like the day at the university when he found out about her death, he thought of her being so lucky to end all the pain she felt. When would he be able to do it? When would he be able to end the life he lived without any reason at all. When?

"They were really cruel before too." A voice was heard when Taehyung closed his laptop. He jumped so fast, his back meeting the wall and his hands grabbing the pillow in defence.
He was looking at a girl seated at the edge of the bed, where Jimin was sitting before. His heart was beating so fast he thought it would jump out any moment.
He usually didn't feel fear, but right at that moment, everything he felt was fear.
He didn't dare to move and recognizing the girl's confused face made Taehyung flinch. He cursed.

"What, who.." He stuttered without looking away.

The girl smile seeing Taehyung in that condition. "Oh, I'm Piper, sorry I must've scared you." She said slowly getting up and Taehyung flinched again.

"Stop, don't move." He yelled and now it seemed that he scared the girl as she just sat back at the edge of the bed. He slowly lowered himself, sitting back and kept staring at her.

"You...are...dead." He barely uttered.
She smiled again as if she felt happy for what Taehyung just said.

"Yeah, I am." She chuckled and pulled her knees closer to her chest, leaning on the wall behind her.

"Oh." Taehyung suddenly started laughing, which was weird for him. Taehyung never laughed, but now he couldn't stop as he put down the pillow.

"I'm even going crazy now. Wow, I started hallucinating." He nodded his head and his facial expression went back to a serious and a kind of scared one.
He got up from the bed and kept nodding his head still murmuring how he was halucinating.

"What the fuck did Jimin made me take?" He cursed to himself and started rubbing his eyes in frustration. He blinked few times thinking the girl would disappear, but she didn't.
She was still at the edge of his bed, a smile never leaving her face.

a/n: yoo sorry for the wait bois but I had an exam and will have another one soon :( here's a new part of Changes, and I don't think I'll finish Limerence today since I'm very tired, but I'll publish it tomorrow
