Part 1 – Heartbreak
Steph’s POV
Bang! The front door slammed shut and then footsteps, getting quieter moving away. It was my chance, he forgot to lock the door, I could escape. I packed a bag as fast as I could and ran down the stairs and out the door putting my hood up as I walked down the road. I had lived in this road for around 10 years but none of it looked familiar. I lived with my brother, well he held me hostage. After our parents died he became violent and help me hostage in my own house I hadn’t been out for years and didn’t know what was going on in the world. My brother, (name) is the only member of my family around and now I have lost him too! The heavens open and the rain starts to fall I have nowhere to go so I being to run to the nearest building for shelter. The automatic doors open and a girl around my age and of average height walks out of the building.
Emily: Hey you okay there?
Steph: yeah I’m okay thanks, just sheltering from the rain.
Emily: Well I’m just going to grab something from my car and then I’m going back in would you like to come in and sit with me and my mate?
Steph: Umm, yeah okay thank you, my names Steph by the way, what’s yours?
Emily: Hi Steph, mine is Emily, I’m just going to pop over to my car and then i will be back and we can go in.
Inside the building (still Steph’s POV)
Emily: Jemma, this is Steph, Steph this is Jemma.
Jemma&Steph: Hey
Steph: So what goes on here then?
Emily: It’s a diving/swimming pool are brothers are divers and they train here sometimes.
Jemma: Yeah hopefully they will both be going to the Olympics again in 2016.
Steph: Ah right okay.
Emily: Here they come. Hey boys come over here!
Tom: hey sis, did you get my drink for me?
Emily: Yeah it’s here. Hey Chris, Tom meet Steph and Steph meet my brother Tom and Jemma’s brother Chris.
Steph: Omg you are Tom Daley and Chris Mears I watched you dive at the Olympics!
Tom&Chris: hey that’s us! (Laughs)
Steph: Sorry I just thought the girls were joking when they said about their brothers being in the Olympics! (Blushes)
Tom: No they’re not joking (laughs). Right Chris we better get training, see you girls in a bit.
Chris: (to Tom) okay (to the girls) see you in a bit.
After the boys training session (Emily’s POV)
Tom: So Steph where do you live?
Steph: Down the ro- umm (whispers) nowhere. (Looks down)
Tom: What do you mean nowhere?
Steph: Well I used to live with my brother but I left.
Emily: Tom can I talk to you over here a minute?
Tom: Okay
Emily: (whispers) Tom why don’t we let her stay at ours, just for one night, i know we don’t know her that well but I just don’t want to see her on the streets.
Tom: (whispers back) Okay I will just call mum. Be right back.
Emily: Steph I know you don’t know us but do you want to stay in the Daley household tonight?
Steph: Seriously you would do that for me even though you have just met me?
Emily: Yeah you just seem so nice, stay with us.
Steph: Okay thank you so much it means a lot!
Emily: It’s fine.
Tom: (walking back in) I guess it’s sorted Steph is staying at ours tonight!
Steph: Umm yeah you don’t mind do you?
Tom: No, no it’s fine honest.
Steph: Okay thank you so much!
Outside the Daley’s household (Tom’s POV)
Tom: Come on Steph, Emily go open the door. (Holds hand out to help Steph)
Steph: Thanks. (Walks slowly to the door where Emily is)
I noticed a lot of flashes, was it flash photography. Oh no now all the press are going to think I’m dating Steph.
