Chapter 54- New Friends
~
Jaanvi's Pov:
Kiaan was leading the way, followed by me scanning the whole house with my piercing eyes. I'm sure Tina expected some sort of insult from me, for that I needed to do some homework. It was hard to make out the actual colour or design of the house, the changing lights every few seconds were blocking my senses to come to a conclusion. Maybe white walls? I thought, bumping into a hard back of someone's.
If papa was here he'd say, 'that's why you watch where you go duffer.' Thankfully he wasn't here.
I balanced myself holding the strong arm quickly, to save myself from another embracement. My embarrassed gaze lifted up to see the only man I've noticed in the whole room filled with around fifty people.
Kiaan.
He gave me a sharp, ice cold annoyed glare. Few seconds ago he wanted to be Shahrukh Khan and now suddenly---Even my self-talking, more like improving my speculations on him was interrupted by his raspy voice,
"What are you? Blind?"
I rolled my eyes, "If you expect me to say, 'Yes I'm blind but only in your love' then you're crazy."
He narrowed his eyes at me, probably, no definitely not expecting my answer to be so twisted. Maybe he wanted me to say a simple, 'no,' well, I'm not normal. He should know that by now.
"A simple answer to my simple question would work." There you go. Exactly what I thought he'd say. Maybe I should start mind reading business? I don't know about others but this man flips, faster than those bottle flips. I made a mental note to myself to inform Bigg Boss about my husband, who knows maybe audience might like the flipping angry bird?
"Calling someone blind isn't very nice nor is it simple. In two-thousand and twelve, thirty nine million people were declared blind. Not one but thirty nine million. Over here you don't even want to turn thirty to see yourself all worn out, with wrinkles and your skin turning all shabby and those poor people can't even reflect on their young-self, why? Because they are B L I N D, according to my knowledge blind means not being able to see! And you think that's a simple bloody question? Imagine their life? Poor people can't see anything, not even their kids or maybe even--"
"You talk so much shit sometimes you know?" He informed me for a matter of fact in a duh tone. "Turning thirty does not make me go all shabby or hive me wrinkles. It happens later on in life so," he leaned forward, his lips grazing my ear instantly I shivered from the contact "Piss off."
Well, yeah. I do talk about bullshit sometimes but calling someone blind isn't very sweet. He needed to be taught a lesson, general knowledge is needed, and I don't want people to call my husband stupid like Alia Bhatt.
(I don't mean to offend any Alia fans, even though I probably have so sorry! I just wanted to give an example, nothing else. She's gorgeous.)
"Oh I will but then you'll be left alo--" it was like a slap on my face when Kiaan's face, not just face but body was turned over from me. Now all I could see was his light find shirt, I was facing his back. Way to get rejected.
"Oh Kiaan baby." Ummm, he's twenty-seven for god sake, around 5'9 how on earth is he a baby? Last time I checked babies come out like little water-leave it! Point is, he not a baby. "It's been so long."
Ummm, I'm here Tina! I smiled awkwardly seeing her shoving her whole body onto my husband. Yaar itni open toh mein bhi nahi hu. (Dude even I'm not this open) It wouldn't even take an idiot two seconds to realise it was Tina's voice. Her girly, squeaks were extremely famous to my ears. Wish they weren't.
