Ariana

I stare at my naked reflection in the mirror, pushing my hair behind my neck. My finger traces the hickies trailing up and down my neck, down my breasts. Oh my God.

A light knock on the bathroom door takes me away from the mirror.

"Ari? Are you okay?" I hear Sam's voice from the other side of the door.

Slowly, I place my hair in front of my neck, covering the dark marks on my skin, "Yeah. . .I'll be right out." I can't believe I let things go this far. It was only a kiss. Only a kiss. I drop the blanket draped around my shoulders, and pick up my clothes from the ground, dressing myself.

I open the bathroom door to Sam standing in front of me, smiling.

"Why are you smiling?" I ask with a straight face. He should feel just as guilty as I do. But he doesnt, and he wont. Because he's wanted this for a long time, and he finally got it. Sam's smile instantly fades, and he digs his hands into his pockets.

"Look." I whisper, and pull my hair behind my neck, revealing all the hickies he left on my neck.

He glances up at my neck, smirking. Its almost as if I'm a trophy, he finally won. He got just what he wanted.

"Sam" I whisper, my voice cracking. Sam only looks at my eyes for a split second before letting his head fall to the floor, once again.

A tear falls down my face, as Sam backs away from me and slides down the wall, wrapping his arms around his knees. I close the bathroom door behind me, before sliding to the ground as well.

"This wasn't suppose to happen." I say into my knees, "I. . ." but I can't continue. I don't know what to say.

I stand up, wiping my tears away, "Sam, I...I have to go." I open the door with sweaty palms and walk out of his room.

"Ariana." I hear Sam call from behind me as I walk down the hallway, to the elevator. But I don't stop. I don't turn around.

I step into the elevator, wait until the doors close and as soon as I feel movement, I slam my fist into the 'STOP' button.

And then I'm on the ground.

Sobbing, uncontrollably as I run my fingers through my tangled and mangled hair.

"Chandler. . .I-" I gasp for air as I drown in my own tears, "I'm s-so s-sorry."

My chest aches as I continually fight for breath, through my loud sobs, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Chandler", is all I can manage to say.

My thoughts are jumbled in my mind, how will I tell him? What will he do to Sam? What will he do to me?

But there's one thought, plaguing over every other thought, every question, and it's simply a fact that I can't even deny.

I cheated on Chandler.

Chandler

My fist lands one last punch on his face, and he's finally down. "One, Two, Three!", the crowd screams, and I hear a buzzer.

I win. I think to myself.

Screams and cheers erupt from the crowd in the small basement as I try to catch my breath. I use my free arm to wipe the blood dripping from my now swollen lip, as a kid with a black shirt on, holds my arm in the air.

I spit to the floor as I step out of the boxing ring. Many hands grab me, touch me, pulling me in different directions as I walk through the crowd of people. I shove people out of my way, as I make my way towards the back of the room. I find Tom, collecting people's money, stack after stack.

Mine, I think to myself.

Finally, Tom glances up and notices me, "Chandler! Dude great fighting, really," he says, patting my back.

"Thanks." I reply.

"So where's your girl, man?" he asks me.

"I told you she doesn't know I fight. If she did, she'd kill me. Besides, she was going to sleep when I left." I say, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Sleep with who?" Tom chuckles. I smack him up the back of the head, dumbass.

"Knock it off, dumbass."

"Just a joke!" Tom says, cocking his neck towards me, "Seriously dude."

"Give me my money so I can get out of here." I say, ripping the stack of cash from his hands.

"You're lucky, you know," Tom says as I walk away from him, he gets louder as I continue towards the stairs, "everyone's bet was on you!"

I finally reach the stairs and hurry up them but hesitate when I reach the pair of doors, thinking over his words, 'Everyone's bet was on you'.

Slowly, I push the two doors open and continue up the last steps and step out into the crisp air of the night, out of the crowded, sweaty basement.

"They always are." I say, throwing on my sweat drenched shirt, before starting back towards the campus.
