Tasia slowly gets up and walk towards the three of us, standing in the doorway. Tasia nods at me to come with, she's obviously nervous. I've never seen this side of her. I walk behind Mrs. Bradley and begin to follow Tasia, but I'm yanked back by a cold hand.
"The Kadinsky family would like to speak to Ms. Cooper, alone." Mrs. Bradley says sternly.
"Sorry." I mouth to Tasia who's glaring at me as she walks down the hallway with Mrs. Bradley following closely behind.
I walk into my room and slam the door behind me, but Chandler's hand stops it from closing.
"She's gonna be fine, Ari. It's Tasia. She knows how to get herself out of this kind of stuff." Chandler says trying to encourage me.
"I don't know about this one, though. I mean, she could go to jail for this! It's like a felony or something!" I say running my hands through my hair. I sit down on the edge of my bed and Chandler walks over and sits next to me, placing an arm around my shoulder.
"How about, to take your mind off all of this, we go see a movie or something? Like a date." Chandler smiles, taking my hand in his and intertwining our fingers.
"I kinda just want to stay here, and like. . .relax." I say watching Chandler's fingers fiddle with mine.
"That's fine too. We can order a pizza or something, watch some t.v.?" he looks at me hopefully.
"Fine, Chandler." I giggle.
"I'll order the pizza. But, movie or t.v.?"
"Whatever."
"Okay. You want cheese?"
"Sure, I'm gonna go take a shower though."
"Kay." Chandler says, pulling out his phone and scooting farther onto the bed and laying down.
I walk into the bathroom and begin stripping when I see something glinting on the floor. I crouch to the ground and pick it up. It's Tasia's blade. And it's still covered in blood. I stand up and rinse off the blade in the sink, as I hear talking from the other side of the door.
"Um. . .yeah, can I get a medium cheese with a liter of Mountain Dew?"
Yes, Mountain Dew. He knows me so well.
Finally, after the blade is cleaned, I don't even stick it back in Tasia's bag, I throw it away. I don't ever want to see that thing again.
I turn on the shower and step into the warm water. I feel like I haven't showered in ages, so this feels amazing.
I feel the water trickle down my arms, on my cuts. It stings at first, but then not so much. In fact, it feels a lot better.
I close my eyes as I tilt my head back, letting the water cascade throughout my hair.
-------------------------------------------------
I wrap a towel around myself as I walk out of the bathroom and into my room.
"Hey." Chandler says.
I can smell the pizza already and it makes me even hungrier.
"Hey, just let me slip into some clothes real quick." I reply.
Even though the other night was the first time he'd seen me fully and completely naked, it's not very awkward changing infront of him tonight.
I slip into a pair of shorts and a tanktop.
"I wonder how Tasia's doing." I say as I sit down on the bed beside Chandler.
He hands me a slice of pizza, "Oh yeah, I heard her and Jordan's family yelling outside the window a couple minutes ago. Something about her doing manual labor or they'd report her. But then she got into the car and drove off with them. So. . .I'm thinkin she chose manual labor."
