A/N: imagine the eye has a ring of bright red around the edges

2900 BCE Mesopotamian Valley

A woman runs through the fields looking around to find her home. She had hidden it to make sure the mighty dereizba and his men would not be able to find her. She had angered him when she cursed a woman in the town for calling her a witch.

"Mahzuz," a sharp voice rang out across the field, as she turned around, only to lock eyes with Dereizba. His glare intensified once he saw her and a smirk spread across his face. She did not move, nor did she she move her eyes from Dereizba.
"You shall receive punishment for what you have done today, but if you become my wife, then I shall ignore what you have done." Dereizba continued to smirk at her as he waited for her reply.

"Dereizba, when will you learn that I find you unattractive and unable to marry." Now, Mahzuz smirked as she saw a look of annoyance pass through Dereizba's face. She had been lying of course, Dereizba was the most attractive she had ever seen in her life. She liked to annoy and tease the man and watch as he continuously chased after her. "Oh I apologize, was that not the answer you wished?" She sarcastically laughed as a scowl formed on his perfect face. She stopped laughing once Dereizba and his men started to take steps forward trying to capture her. She flicked her hand and the men around Dereizba collapsed, while he remained stuck in place.

He struggled against her magic as she walked towards him. She pressed her hands against his cheek, while looking at him deeply in the eyes. "A scowl truly does not belong on your face. I was only teasing you before when I told you I thought you unattractive. You are the most attractive man I have ever met, and it would be a privilege to be called your wife." He seemed to relax as she said this and although the scowl was frozen on his face she could see the smile in his eyes. She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his as she unfroze him. Almost immediately, he kissed her back before breaking apart and smiling at her.

"Then let us be married and have many children!" He announced as he lifted Mahzuz, spinning her around.

"All in good time, my love. All in good time." She looked at him lovingly while she woke up his men.

"Push Mahzuz, please. The child and I both need you to push." Dereizba shouted at her while she screamed. She had informed him she was with child months ago, but he was nowhere near prepared for this day. "One more push, my love. That's right, and there you go." A babies cry rang through the air as Mahzuz weakly looked at her new child. She was so beautiful and Mahzuz began to cry as she knew she was dying. As she locked eyes with her husband, she realized he was smiling in pure happiness at the new addition to his family.

"Ahnkarah," she spoke as she looked between her child and her husband. Ha nodded at her agreeing with her word choice for their baby.

"My love, fetch me some water, please." Mahzuz smiled at her husband as he nodded at her and walked off in search of water. Once he was gone she looked down at the little baby girl smiling down at her. "My beautiful Ahnkarah, I will not be able to remain much longer, so I shall bless you with my powers. Sixteen years from this day yo shall receive my gift to you and you shall become the first of your kind. A devil but an angel at the same time, with enough strength and speed to evade the cleverest of enemies. Many powers you shall have and beauty unlike any other. I love you so much and I need you to keep your father safe. Goodbye, sweetheart." She kissed Ahnkarah and black mist surrounded the baby before sinking into the skin. Mahzuz went limp still holding the baby as Ahnkarah started to cry.

Dereizba walked into the room confused as to why his daughter was crying, and dropped the pail when he stared into the lifeless eyes of his wife. "Mahzuz, Mahzuz please wake up. You cannot leave me, please." He broke off as he started to sob at his dead wife. He looked at his new baby and dried his tears. She was staring at her father curiously, and he took the time to realize she had a strangely unique eye color, unlike any he had ever seen among the people in Mesopotamia. There were not even close to the brown eyes both he and her mother have.
