Dream, as if you're going to live forever.
Live, as if you're going to die tomorrow.

"YOU TWO FACED SNAKE!" Astrid screamed at her former boyfriend, Eret Eretson. She had walked in on him, practically sucking a girl's face off.

"Baby!" he said, frantically searching his brain for an excuse, "Heather was having a bad day! I was comforting her, t-then she threw herself on me!" she looked at him, her mixed emotions of sadness, jealousy, and rage fuelling her every movement. "Well if that's the case! You certainly made no effort to get her off!" She kicked him in the groin and proceeded to scream colourful words at him.

She began to cry as she ran out of his house. She began the long walk home, cursing his name as she walked. As she walked down the road, she heard a beautiful melody, she ignored it, telling herself it was just in her head. When she turned a corner, heading onto Rumblehorn Avenue, she bumped into a tall young man, wearing a thick black coat-seeing as it was snowing, it wasn't a surprise-, he had fluffy auburn hair and charming forest green eyes, regardless, she scowled, "Watch it Jackass!"

Hiccup's p.o.v

I was in Gobber's garage, that he calls 'The Forge' humming 'Single Ladies' to myself, when I heard the sound of concrete and wood colliding. "Laddie, go home, I don't want ya' staying here late like the past few weeks." he says walking/hobbling behind me on his peg leg, and he was right, I should go home, but truth is, I didn't want to go back to my house, with all the luxuries, I wanted to stay away from that. I had been hiding out in The Forge, for as long as possible for the past weeks, until Gobber told me to leave.

I frowned, nodded, then grabbed my warm winter coat heading for the door. I began to sing to myself as I walked down Rumblehorn Avenue, "You can keep me, inside the pocket of your ripped jeans.. Holding me closer til' our eyes meet, you won't ever be alo-" I was interrupted as I bumped into someone, I looked down, only to see, Astrid Hofferson, she was shivering, standing there with a blue short sleeved shirt and some grey denim jeans. "Watch it Jackass!"

I smile down at her, she didn't seem to notice, "Hard day, huh?" she looks up at me as I smile, I knew she was having trouble. There was a flicker of sadness in her eyes, "How'd you know?" She asked, still shivering without a coat, "I just know." I say as I unzip my coat and hand it to her. "W-what are you doing?" She holds the coat in her arms as she stares at me.

"Put it on, I'll take you to buy a coffee. It looks like you need it. And we can talk about your troubles." She smiles at me, as she snuggles herself into my jacket.

"And that's when I bumped into you."

"He sounds like a total jackass." I groan, sipping my latte. She had been telling me about Eret and his side-chick. I knew he was an unfaithful rat, but I just sat and listened. Eret was the captain of the football team, typical jock/playboy. I was often the target of his nasty words. But I never minded.

"Oh, he was. Anyway, I should get going." I smiled and stood up, helping her get up from her place. "Oh! Here, encase you ever need to talk." I hand her a slip of paper containing my phone number. "Thanks! I should get going, bye!" She repeats and smiles as she exits 'Vanaheim' Berk's local café. I head out after her, I was in a better mood, and finally willing to go home.
