"You still haven't told me why we're here exactly."
"I have to find out what is different about Chase and Noah."
" you mean despite the fact that they're boys. " She teases pulling my arm so I'll stop.
"No, just promise that you'll help me."
" Fine".
The silence seemed deafening were we sat. My eyes never once strayed from the door. I willed something to happen, anything. "Erin what are we looking for exactly?"
"Anything! Now sshh so I can concentrate." Chloe's eyes out up all of a sudden. "What?"
" Erin! I've found a window. Come on let's go. " I kept her back. The sound of an open window seemed too easy. It might be a trap. " I changed my mind. Let's go,come on. "
"No!" Chloe refused running over to the window with me not on her heels.
" come on let's go. This is wrong! " I hissed furiously. Chloe but record on her camera and lifted it onto the window ledge. From the inside of the room a strange sucking sound came. We both listened in stunned horror. " What is that? " I question Chloe. Chloe removes the camera and hits rewind. The film was too disturbing to figure out what was going on. So we looked through the window.
Chase and Noah both had their head bent over a small deer's carcass. Blood dropped from the razor sharp range that pretended from their mouths. I gasp out loud at the same time that Chloe gives a small scream of terror. We struggle to get away from the window but slip and slide around in the mud. A shadow falls over the window. Then the door flies open. Chase is running towards me but I'm backing away as fast as I can. "No!" I slap away his hand.
" Erin, please"
"You're a... You're a." I struggled to find the right word.
" Vampire. " he spits out. He waits for me to freak out but eventually my curiosity got the better of me.
"How?" I rest my hand on his cheek tentatively . He looks, feels and acts human. He let my hand travel round his face, checking to make sure he's real. Everything around us is blocked out. All I can focus on is him.
My lips crash onto his as my curiosity delves deeper. Noah places a rough hand in my shoulder and chase file away to snarl at him. At that moment I believe that Chase is truly a monster. He didn't even pause before trying to attack Noah.
Now I understood everything. This is why I couldn't be around chase. He'd end up killing me. Noah hadn't tried scaring me, he'd been warning me. His brother was dangerous.
