Chapter 25

Bruce's POV
It has been 6 months since Selina and me got engaged and today is Damien's first birthday. Damien has Selina curly hair but my colour and had her green eyes. It was so weird to think that this time a year ago Selina was in labour.
I put my shirt on and check my hair in the mirror. We where having a small party to celebrate his birthday. Nothing big just me, Selina, Damien, Alfred, Jim, Harvey, Barbra and Tabitha. We don't really have that many people close to us but they are all like family. I walk out of our bedroom and I walk down the hall to Damien's bedroom. I see Selina sitting on the carpet trying to get Damien to walk.
"What are you doing" I ask.
"I'm try to get him to walk" she says. I sit down on the carpet in front on them.
"Damien come here" I say. Selina hold him up. He puts a foot out but fall down. He tries a few more times but he keeps failing.
"I think that I enough for you baby" Selina says kissing his head.
"We'll try again" I say. Selina stands up and picks up Damien.
"You look beautiful by the way"I say. She rolls her eyes and laughs. I laugh to.

Me and Selina walk into the kitchen and see everyone talking.
"Theirs the birthday boy" Harvey says. I smile at him. Barbra comes over and takes Damien.
"I got you the best present yes I did" she coos. Me and Selina laugh.
"Ok time for the birthday boy to try his cake" Alfred says. Me and Bruce walk over to the high chair as Alfred puts the cake on.
"Alfred it is beautiful thank you" Selina says.
"It is my pleasure Miss Kyle, Master Bruce" he says.

"Ok well let's eat" I say. Damien puts his hand out and takes a handful out of the cake and eats it. Me and Selina laugh at him.
Alfred cuts the cake and everyone eats the cake.

After we change Damien as he made a mess of himself it was time for presents.
From Tabitha he got a few stuffed animals. From Jim he got some books. Harvey got him a police station set.barbra got him some clothes. Alfred got him a trampoline.
" I don't think he will be using that for a while alfred" I say.
"What is it" Selina coos over at Damien who I am standing up. He puts a foot out but instead of falling he stands. He takes another step and another until he falls into Selinas arms. Selina breathes out and then laughs. She kisses his head. I pull myself over to them and play with Damien and smiling. He took his first steps.
"I got that on tape" Tabitha says. Me and Selina smile before smiling at Damien
