The Black Hole

1429 years ago my life as a star ended. In other words I died. The thing I remember the most was the light as it left me. Nothing replaced that beautiful sensation of warmth that I'd felt for so long. I felt nothing. I was empty. My own gravitational pull caused me to be sucked into myself, but I didn't feel a thing. When I realized what was going on I was already inside the black hole, and this black hole was me.

I entered the old, abandoned warehouse, where our group was staying this week. A wave of old canned tuna hit my nose like a truck. This place must have been a tuna factory at one point, probably for years if the smell still lingered like this.

I make my way to the back of the ware house, where I know everyone must be.

Carson, the leader of this group, is 17. He's at least 6'6", and muscular too. He has short dark, shaggy, brown hair and piercing blue eyes which causes most girls to gawk at him.

There are other guys too. Nick who is 16, with shoulder length brown hair and slightly shorter than Carson. Caleb is 15 almost 16, with sandy blond hair that has a mind of its own, although the thing that makes him noticeable is the jagged scar across his right eye.

Carson, Caleb, and Nick are the 3 highest rankings. If they tell you to do something you do it. Of course I could blow them up and become leader but I don't have much light left in me. I need to save it. Also the only reason I'm apart of this group is for a place to sleep, and protection.

I'm the highest ranking girl. I bring in most of the money for our fairly large group, which I usually get from pick pocketing. The money funds some cheap food for everyone and clothes from second hand shops. I try to keep most the money I take for myself. Carson found out once and I almost got beat up pretty bad but Caleb stepped in and convinced him not to. He probably only helped me because I look so small compared to the rest of them- even the girls. I don't look frail but I don't really look strong. But who needs to be when you can set things on fire. But I'm trying to save my light so I don't use it much, which leaves me helpless but no one ever suspects me as being a thief.

I remember that day when Carson looked down at me coldly. I had stared up at him with a blank expression. I was already heating up so at the first touch he would get burned. But Caleb stepped in before Carson could, and just for one moment, I thought I felt something. I've always wondered what that something was, but I'm not good with recognizing emotions.

Carson waved me over to him. "How much did you get today?" He asked.

"I'm not sure but I stole a cup of money from this homeless man and I got 15 dollars or so out of a man's pocket."

"You stole money from a begging homeless man?" He asked surprised with disgust.

"Yeah." I said smirking.

Carson looked down at me. "Sometimes I wonder if you have any feelings at all."

I looked back up at him and said with a superficial smile. "All human beings have feelings."

Carson just stared at me "Then you must not be human." He laughed.

I frowned, wasn't I technically a human now? I took the form of a human, but I guess I don't belong anywhere.

The first thing I recognized was that it was dark. I sat up while it all came back to me. I had imploded, and my light was gone, maybe to never return.

I couldn't help but to feel strange. For so long my being or my soul was in my core where I stayed put, but now I am in a different form. I can move with these sticks attached to my body, and I can touch my features. I feel my face, it's smooth. Towards the bottom there is an opening in which I could make sounds with, above that, a small mountain on my face with two openings. Even further up two indents that blink open and shut. I poke them, it hurts. I have gained new sense to go with my new form.
