Jewels existing for their beauty
Cold and rigid yet irresistible
What draws us to these stones
Transparent colors in the light
Hope and joy radiating from crystals
Gifts of the earth
A symbol of happiness
We tie our lives to rocks
A diamond means forever
Useless but for their looks
What draws us to these stones
They enchant us with their majesty
Exist hidden within darkness
When their true delicacy can only show in the sun
We lay them in necklaces
Adorn ourselves with these sweet nothings
But their sweetness gives them meaning
Their beauty is their power
