To be honest, I've never read any fics that Namjoon was portrayed as the one being tutored. So let's imagine him being the less smarter one. The one who will always complain and question the existence of math and the one who doesn't give a shit why he needs to find the x of every problem. If anybody talks to him, they will have to prepare for a conversation full of stupid and nonsensical topics. After talking to him, they're more or less likely to be 15% dumber than before. Namjoon would need to have a tutor because of his bad grades. It is to be expected of Namjoon.

That's why let's insert a really hot and attractive star student Taehyung. Now, why Taehyung? Taehyung is always written as not-so-smart in most fics although I've read fics that he was portrayed as intelligent and smart. But because of Taehyung's manipulative nature(and since he's hot and tutors in fan fiction should be either adorable or devilishly hot or somewhere in between), I think he's fit for being Namjoon's tutor.

Imagine Namjoon being flustered by Taehyung's presence while trying to comprehend what the attractive man is saying in their tutoring sessions. Most of the time, Namjoon will always  find himself ogling at his handsome tutor and not paying attention to whatever Taehyung was teaching him about balancing elements.

Of course Taehyung will notice that Namjoon's body is there but his mind is somewhere else, so he has to make a plan of making Namjoon listen to him. And since it's fan fiction and let's just say that Taehyung also likes Namjoon because he's fine as hell and Taehyung may or may not have thought of bending Namjoon over his desk while he fucks him senseless several times now. Taehyung likes Namjoon and Namjoon likes Taehyung. Simple.

Imagine Taehyung squeezing Namjoon's thighs whenever the other is not listening(which is most of the time). Then Namjoon will just let Taehyung and there's one time where Taehyung's hand slips unintentionally to Namjoon's inner thigh. But Namjoon doesn't complain so Taehyung continues to squeeze and caress Namjoon's thigh. Taehyung saying "Pay attention Namjoon," with his deep sultry voice.

So because of that incident, Tae becomes confident to touch Namjoon. Namjoon loves it and always anticipates their tutoring session. Until one day, Taehyung couldn't hold himself and kissed Namjoon out of the blue. But he wasn't expecting Namjoon to kiss back. Taehyung smiles while kissing Namjoon and their tutoring session becomes a make out session.

So in the end, Namjoon is still pretty stupid. But at least he still gets to see his tutor Taehyung because of that.
